Iran to give fierce response to any military act: Haddad Adel

mathaba.net

Majlis Speaker Gholam Ali Haddad Adel said here Thursday that Iran would not hesitate to give a fierce response to any military action against the country.

It is unlikely Tel Aviv regime would take a "stupid" action with a military provocation on Iran, Haddad-Adel told reporters on Thursday in response to a question on the Zionist regime's stance vis-a-vis Iran's nuclear program.

There are other ways to wage war on a country than to inflict violence on them. To me anyway, this is a hollow gesture, which serves no other purpose than to inflame people into an argument. If it were me, I'd just blow this off, and let it go as it is.

I think he's just venting.

"Iran would not hesitate to give a fierce response to any military action against the country."

As opposed to the other option of giving up, rolling over and letting the invaders do whatever they want...

Empty rhetoric designed to bolster the Iranian populous and nothing more.

First I thought he is telling this in relation to the assassination of Hezbollah leader; then i thought i would see what people have to say about it; anyway i would go with the opinion of "Naboo the Enigma" - "Empty rhetoric designed to bolster the Iranian populous and nothing more"

How is this an unusual or significant statement? You could attribute a quote like that to just about any nation in the middle east. I doubt it would be out of place for any western military brass to spout those words also, given that the question was in reference to hostile actions from foreigners. ...........
....thats all it is.....hot air.
