Its true that Muzlims, Christians, Jewish people, Believe in GOD
IT'S THE MOST iMPORTANT Thing in their lives. Yes non believers persicute Gody believers.
But Why ? Is it because they don't have anything better to do???
Or is it because they long to fill that empty void in their lives.& feel guilty when they find out GOD loves them.
OR is it because they

All three religions tell their followers that they will be persecuted, that they will be oppressed, and that they'll have to suffer before the Great Big THing happens and makes it all better.

The result of constantly being told you're persecuted is, unsurprisingly, a persecution complex. Christians and Muslims, in particular, are prone to screaming "oppression" at every silly little thing, because they've been conditioned to the mentality that everyone is out to get them. It's unspeakably sad.

I've never persecuted anyone that believes in God, but it sounds like you just persecuted me, an atheist/nihilist, by saying I don't have anything else better to do

I don't have a problem with the concept of God, but I do have a problem with religion, especially when it is responsible for radicalization and causing the deaths of countless masses of people.

When religion becomes an ideology, it doesn't do anyone any good, especially when God is a replacement for rational arguments.

Non-Godly humans? I've met many 'Godly' people who have had very little tolerance for anyone who doesn't believe what they believe, even for other people who believe in God but who belong to a different religion

Maybe they are homosexuals and they dislike the slander and utter disrespect this 'god' allows people to dish on them and say it's ok it is their fault for being gay. Muslims and christians both believe in god yes, but obviously they do not get along. Everyone hates each other because everyone judges each other.

It is possible to be a believer without being muslim christian or jewish.

Why is it acceptable for you to call us Un-Godly, why it is acceptable to remind those who dont believe as you that they are sinners to be left behind and condemned to burn for all eternity.

Any questioning or criticism of the organization you call your religion automatically persecution.
Seriously a store recognized that they have employees and customers of many faiths and traditions so they choose to use a sign that says happy holidays and this is seen as an attack on christianity and religious persecution!

don't worry, the FSM will touch your noodle with his noodly appendage and all shall be fine.

anyway, on topic.

religious people tend to be persecuted by people of other religoins, even those that have the same holy book in some cases...

christians, muslims, and jews have been persecuting each other over the centuries more than any group of nonbelievers has persecuted them.

so stop pointing the finger at the nonreligious.

Well in a sense all these so called religious shouldn’t really be persecuting. Because in a way isn’t judging people against their religion? I suppose in a way they’re just as un-godly as the ones they are persecuting….can someone say hypocrite?

As for non god believers they are probably tired of hearing people trying to constantly push their religion on them. Or maybe they just like messing with you.

well...it depends.
judaism has nothing against persecution
islam only bars persecution against jews and christians
christianity has the "judge not lest ye be judged" thing...but that's not really against persecution in particular and has statements that contradict this strewn about the OT...

I have but one question, only one.

How have the non-believers persecuted the believers?

From my experience and knowledge it's the believers who strap bombs to their bodies and kill the innocent. It's the believers who have rode in the crusades, the pograms and burned the innocent because they believed they were witches.

If you have the balls to post this thread, you should have the facts to back it up. Answer my question:

How have the non-believers persecuted the believers?

Answer me that one question.

By existing and expression their stance. I think I covered that, before?
Exclusivist faiths (the ones that go "only ours are real!") are endlessly threatened by the existence of other belief and thought systems since it undermines their claims.

Swear to God, I've sat here for five minutes now and read and reread you post and I have no idea what it means.

I love the moments of confusion like this, cause I know you have a point and I'm just not getting it.

Can you clarify?

He's saying that because these faiths regard their story as the only true record of events, any idea that strays from theirs is inherently bad as it serves, if even only passively, to undermine the truth of their beliefs.

Oh please! Christianity and other religions promote myth, distorted and/or fabricated history, fables, and outright lies and delusion as a substitute for cold hard reality and you wonder why thinking people call it a fraud? And please stop spewing this sewage about god's love. Your feeble little imaginary god demands I live and believe a certain way or else he is going to burn me in hell for all eternity. Oh but wait! He loves me! Pure crap!
