As every has an end, every end has a beginning. As beings of free will we must choose the end or the beginning. If we choose the end we will never see the beginning. If we choose the beginning we will never see the end because we as a species will continue to evolve.

In order for humanity to evolve we must understand the way we have treated one another and how we have treated the planet we call home. The way we have treated one another is similar to that of two children fighting over the last cookie in jar. The way we have treated the earth is similar to that of an abusive spouse and a significant other. There are no easy solutions to the world's problems but we must understand the way we are behaving during our brief time on earth is unethical.

It is unethical to use acts of terrorism and warfare to control the masses instead of using love and compassion to institute free will. Nothing positive can come from flying planes into buildings, detonating bombs on crowded streets or destroying religious sites. Nothing positive can come from waging war on a innocent country and displacing it's citizens under the cover of freedom. Such acts bring only negativity, anger and hatred.

It is unethical to continue to use natural resources that cause significant harm to the planet we all call home while there are less harmful ways we can acquire energy. Athought there are those who will say that other sources of energy may not be profitable, we cannot afford to be sidetracked by our materialism, pride or arrogance. We must remember if we respect and protect nature, nature in trun will respect and protect us.

If we don't rid ourselves of materialism, pride and arrogance we will never see the beginning. Instead we will see the end of our civilization, making way for the next worthy intelligent species who will dig up our past and ask the question "what went wrong?"

Indeed, great topic for a thread OP. I for one Choose the beginning. It is an era of choice. Will we be ignorant to the fact of the changes, or will we AWAKEN.
