Lucasfilm has partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures and Turner Broadcasting on "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," a 3-D toon that will bow in theaters this August before moving to the smallscreen in the fall. The Aug. 15 feature will set the stage for the spinoff skein, which will bow on Cartoon Network, followed by airings on TNT. International release dates for the feature and TV series are still being set.

I could not believe this! I knew they were making a television animated show, but never imagined it would be released at the movies. this is a large step for animation. I am happier today for this. thank you George!

I can't wait to see this!

Are you serious? I loved the PT. and I'm a hardcore OT fan. I liked the story of anakin and his mentor obiwan. And general grievous was all I dreamed of. have you ever seen the clone wars cartoons? they are really, really good. trust me, this animated movie is going to break all records. you can take my word.

Don't get me wrong man, I will see this movie! It just the cartoon part that puts me off. I may need to go back and watch the PT as a whole and look more at the story and less at the acting.
