US asks for help from Iran to exit Iraq: Envoy

Iran's ambassador to Iraq, who attended two rounds of trilateral talks between Washington, Tehran and Baghdad about security in Iraq, said the US has asked for Iran's help to exit Iraq.

Hassan Kazemi Qomi, who was speaking to the Iranian diplomats and employees in Iraq on the occasion of 29th anniversary of triumph of Islamic revolution, said, "Iran entered the negotiations only with the aim of defending and supporting oppressed people of Iraq, but US view of the situation in Iraq...

On the eve of holding the fourth round of trilateral talks, Qomi said, "USA, by any plan and view about Iraq, now has confessed to Iran's strong presence in the region and especially in Iraq."

Iran offered to help back in 2006 but was faltely rebuffed by the usa then - 2 years later and a worse situatin will the US talk to them? iraq was very happy for iran to get involved - only the usa wasn`t.


also iran offered to work with the usa in afghanistan and again the us flately refused - which of course makes you wonder , what adgenda the US is following as its not exactly peace it wants
