I just finished reading "communion " the book by Whitley Strieber and I must say I believed it, all of it. When I was a little kid I took out the "audio book" version of this from the library and it’s the first and last time I’ve ever been frozen with fear. I had my headphones on and I remember the moment when I had no choice but to scream out for my dad because I simply couldn’t move to take the headphones off myself. Now 20 years later I’ve had a chance to read the book with my own voice in my head and I must say it is incredible.

Is there a consensus out there on how many people believe its just fiction and how many people believe its real? I have a pretty good bull snap monitor and I swallowed every bit. This book is proof of something to me. Am I just gullible or is this as good as it gets as far as insight into what’s going on?

You're just gullible

I remember when I was a kid, the actual book cover of Communion scared the crap out of me. I still have trouble looking at it today. It just make me very uneasy.

I've never actually read the book though. You may guess why, haha.

I do not know the book. I'll have to check out the book. I do however know for a fact that often much "Truth", truthful stories, and information, Gets published as fiction.

Say you were on the inside track and knew a bunch of people that told you about facts and stuff. However they told you off record. You'd want to tell the story but you couldn't "Prove" a word of it and you wouldn't want to disrespect your "friends" and break their trust of you by boldly publishing the facts shared with you.

So what you'd do is publish the truth outright or with a little flair as fiction.

well the book is not marketed as fiction, its been put out as a true account of striebers experiences with abduction and visitation. I was just wondering what the concensus was towards its merit.
