'Jaws' actor Scheider dies at 75

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Roy Scheider, the actor best known for his role as a police chief in the blockbuster movie "Jaws," has died. He was 75.

One of the greatest movies of all time has lost it's star. I just wanted to give a RIP shout to Roy Scheider and his family. It was nice to see that he was an activist against the war in Iraq.

What a shame...I really liked that guy.

I remember him in quite a few movies.

Did you guys ever watch Sea Quest DSV? I never missed an episode.

hey duckster. Pretty cool show indeed. As I recall it didn't last that long though did it? And, I think I have seen it recently on SciFi or a similar channel. If I am wrong, I bet very soon, it will be back on some channel on a regular basis.

That's a shame. He was one of my fav actors.

Thanks for posting this, I hadn't heard of Sheider's passing. That's too bad because I enjoyed his movies.

Im getting older.
He was one the images in my head from childhood, love that movie Jaw's. Me and my sisterthought we were brave and sat in the front row of the theater, that was until Jaw's made his appearance.
Then we high tailed it back to our parents seat.

Ill miss him.

So many of my favorite actors are passing away...life just moves on
