Someday, right in your living room.....

I can remember about 30 years ago reading an article in popular mechanics about what the future would hold and was amazed at some of the predictions.

They claimed that there would come a day when your TV would be replaced by images in spacial 3D holographics. That you would be able to actually watch a TV show of say, a family eating dinner for example. You will be able to literally walk around the table in the middle of your living room and view the show from every angle. That it would be so real that you could almost reach out and touch it. I can tell you that I was more than a little excited at the prospect.
