Antartica

For a long time i was wondering why there were no proper satellite pictures been made of this (Antartica) continent..
but yesterday reading magazine Geographycal found an article that more than a thousand pictures of Antartica were put together, to make a proper view of the area and a link to this website

i thought some might get interested in this, anyway check it out, looks like a nice gesture from the government
the images might be corrected but who cares ))) at least they are here

Probably for the same reason google earth has neglected to add precise mapping.
There are things there 'they' don't want us to see.
I look upon the antartica website of stations, mawson, etc. religiously. There was one photo I will never forget. Of station members at Mawson, 12 of them or so, congregated at west corner of beach with objects in sky, and they didn't look like copters or planes.
