I've been a member of the forums for awhile now but I have visited the site even longer then I've been a member. I don't post very much but I have always been a semi-skeptic about UFO's. I always thought that almost every sighting of something that couldn't be explained by the person that witnessed it could be explained by someone else; which is why I am posting about this now.

I witnessed something 2 months ago that has been bothering me and I would like to hear what you all think about it. Honestly I don't care if this sounds weird or not but would just like some answers. So I guess I'll get straight to the point now.

While I was driving home from school at around 8p.m. and about to pull up into my driveway I noticed something that cought my attention. It was a circular object that was kinda like a disk shaped object, but it also looked blurry (kind of like looking at something if you have bad eye sight, which i do have). While looking at it, the first thing I thought of was that I must have forgot to put my glasses on, but a second or two later I realised that my glasses were indeed on.

The object was moving really slow like a blimp and seemed kind of distorted ( I really don't know how to explain this) and was wobbaling kinda like when you spin a quarter and it's about to stop. It also wasn't that far (maybe 100 feet away) which is what confuses me since I couldn't make out what it was. I guess the best way to describe it is that it looked like the fat disk suacer shaped object that is commonly reported. Oh, also there were green, red and blue with a kinda whitesh light pulsating around it.

The thing that gets me about this object is that it looked like one of those ufo's that you always read about but this thing was blurry like there were gas fumes that you see coming out of a car exhaust( best way to describe it) around it.

Anyways, I'm sorry this post is kinda long. Also, this took place in Lake Mary Florida around 8p.m. Hope someone can help me figure this out, thx.

Very interesting! Lucky you...
Thanks for the post, and no it is not long. The longer the better!
Could you please elaborate some more, at this distance you must have been able to make out many details.
- How big was it (angular size). For example big as ... at arms' length?
- How long was the observation?
- Was the body of the disk emitting light? You mention green red and blue but what was the pattern?
- The lights around the disk: did they blink or flash, did they rotate? How fast?
- The shape: it was circular, so how do you know it was saucer shaped? Was it overhead when you first saw it, and then looked more elliptic when it moved away? Maybe you could draw a sketch to describe the geometry.
- The trajectory: straight, no acceleration?
- How did you estimate the distance (100 feet). Did you move toward it and notice a change, or did it move just the same when you were not moving?
- The wobbling: like it was rotating around an almost vertical axis?
- Was there a trail or some visible halo around the disk (you mention fumes)? Or was it the disk outline sharply defined, but visible through atmospheric turbulence? The "out of focus" or blurry aspect is common.
- How did the observation end?

It looked like it was the size of an svu.

how long was the observation?

I'd say about 2-3 minutes. After I pulled into my driveway I ran into my house to get a camcorder but by the time I came back out it was gone.

Was the body of the disk emitting light? You mention green red and blue but what was the pattern?

Yes it was emitting light around the object, the lights on it shifted to the left around the object at a slow pace.

- The lights around the disk: did they blink or flash, did they rotate? How fast?

Slow paced blinking lights that seemed to circle around the object at a slow pace(shifted left at a 3-4 sec pace).

- The shape: it was circular, so how do you know it was saucer shaped? Was it overhead when you first saw it, and then looked more elliptic when it moved away? Maybe you could draw a sketch to describe the geometry.

It wasn't aboveme but I could tell the shape of it by the way it was moving and wobbling. I'll upload a pic of it.

- The trajectory: straight, no acceleration?

The object was moving straight while moving at a slow speed. It didn't move fast or go up or down. It was like it was floating in a stright line. I don't know if this matters but it wasn't windy.

- How did you estimate the distance (100 feet). Did you move toward it and notice a change, or did it move just the same when you were not moving?

I don't know the exact distance but I do know it's pretty close because the building it was passing over when I noticed it was a church that is located behind my house. Also it was moving while I parked my car, It was also moving faster then 15mph(the speed I was going when I first noticed it).

- The wobbling: like it was rotating around an almost vertical axis?

Yea it looked exactly like a spun quarter when it's about to stop.

- Was there a trail or some visible halo around the disk (you mention fumes)? Or was it the disk outline sharply defined, but visible through atmospheric turbulence? The "out of focus" or blurry aspect is common.

I didn't notice any trail or halo around the disk but when I said fumes I don't know if there were any fumes or not but I meant that it looked like gas fumes or a better way to describe it is heat that you can see(like when your sitting in your car on a hot day).

- How did the observation end?

It was moving to the left at a slow pace so I parked my car and ran inside to get my camcorder but when I got back outside it was gone(took maybe 5-10secs cause I leave it right at the door for work).

Thanks for the details. They help identify the usual suspects (aircrafts, meteors, astronomic phenomena).

It looked like it was the size of an svu.

An SUV? Could it be much bigger and far away? Or smaller and only 60 feet away? A way of estimating the size would be to notice a difference in its apparent movement when you were moving yourself. If it is a only a guess, fair enough, it is not easy to be sure.

Forgot to ask: no sound? Probably you would not hear it from the car anyway.

Yes it was emitting light around the object, the lights on it shifted to the left around the object at a slow pace.

Was the object (not asking about the lights on it) lighter or darker than the sky? At 8pm the sky must have been dark, but city lights make it more or less bright at night.

I was first thinking of a RC helicopter equiped with LED lights like this one:
video 1, video 2
Red, green and blue lights with strobes, white light in the middle.
It does wobble, but not in the regular way you describe.

The wobbling reminds me of this UFO video over Mexico, August 6, 1997.

The blurry aspect is often reported by UFO witnesses. It may be a telltale sign of an advanced propulsion technology based on magnetohydrodynamics (ionized plasma in a strong magnetic field). Of the many speculative theories about nuts and bolts flying saucer propulsion, this is one of the more likely IMHO.

Hopefully someone else will be able to offer some more ideas or corroborative observations. Good luck in your search!

P.S. The MUFON database has one recent event in Florida with some similarity to your UFO.
October 12, 2007: 3 lights red green and strobing white light that change to all red.
