Thanks for the details. They help identify the usual suspects (aircrafts, meteors, astronomic phenomena).
It looked like it was the size of an svu.
An SUV? Could it be much bigger and far away? Or smaller and only 60 feet away? A way of estimating the size would be to notice a difference in its
apparent movement when you were moving yourself. If it is a only a guess, fair enough, it is not easy to be sure.
Forgot to ask: no sound? Probably you would not hear it from the car anyway.
Yes it was emitting light around the object, the lights on it shifted to the left around the object at a slow pace.
Was the object (not asking about the lights on it) lighter or darker than the sky? At 8pm the sky must have been dark, but city lights make it more or
less bright at night.
I was first thinking of a RC helicopter equiped with LED lights like this one:
video 1,
video 2
Red, green and blue lights with strobes, white light in the middle.
It does wobble, but not in the regular way you describe.
The wobbling reminds me of this
UFO video over Mexico, August 6, 1997.
The blurry aspect is often reported by UFO witnesses. It may be a telltale sign of an advanced propulsion technology based on magnetohydrodynamics
(ionized plasma in a strong magnetic field). Of the many speculative theories about nuts and bolts flying saucer propulsion, this is one of the more
likely IMHO.
Hopefully someone else will be able to offer some more ideas or corroborative observations. Good luck in your search!
P.S. The
MUFON database has one recent event in Florida with some similarity to your UFO.
October 12, 2007: 3 lights red green and strobing white light that change to all red.
