A strange message (Potentially)

This is my first post here, though I've been lurking ATS for about a year now. This thread caught my eye because I've had a similar experience with the ouiji board when I was about 13 or 14. A couple of friends and I were dabbling in the ouiji for a few months and one night one friend and i had an entity come in that called himself "ZAZ". He was confusing and would make outrageous claims. And then the indicator would ignore our questions and just go back and forth between Z and A very quikly, almost violently. The next day or so I told another friend of mine what happen, and she really freaked out a little, saying the same thing happen to her with another friend, months back. Well, the next few time we tried to use the ouiji this ZAZ would come on. So we stopped using it, and I eventually got rid of the board. I didn't think much about it until this past summer, ten years later. My good friend fwho knew me during that time, but never experienced it, said that it happen to him and his cousin when using the ouiji board. He said that he has also heard of other people experiencing this entity on the ouiji, so we googled ZAZ and ouiji, and low and behold, there are many storied of ZAZ talking through the ouiji. The stories are all very similar, and sometimes have religious claims.

I personally don't even 100% believe in the ouiji board, nor do I trust anything that whomever is speaking through it says. Has anyone else has had contact with ZAZ or AZAZEL? any thoughts?

I called for Zaz and it seemed that he was 'there'..you could feel the force or energy in the planchette. He just didn't want to talk. This puzzled me. I asked him what was wrong. When he acknowledged my question, the planchette VIOLENTLY flew from letter to letter, so much so that we almost couldn't keep our hands on it.

Me: What's wrong, Zaz?
Zaz: I DO NOT WISH TO TALK
Me: Why not? Are you mad at me?
Zaz: NO I WILL NOT SPEAK WITH HER HERE
I was surprised at this, and my friend appeared both angry and upset. I suspect she thought I was somehow causing this.
Me: Why not?
Zaz: I DO NOT WANT YOU HERE, SARAH
Sarah: Fine! I don't want to talk to you anyway! We'll talk to someone else.
The board came to a stop. I felt an ominous feeling in my nerves, a very uncomfortable tension. We both watched the board for a response. Finally:
Zaz: MAYBE I WILL COME TO TALK TO YOU INDEED I WILL COME IN THE DARK - WHEN YOU ARE MOST AFRAID
The Ouija board session came to a quick halt. My tormented friend became hysterical,ran out of the room, and refused to touch it again. I asked her what the big deal was - and she told me that she WAS afaid of the dark, and no one knew that. And it was a shameful secret that she had..and somehow, Zaz knew her worst fear. I asked him later how he could know her fears, and he said knew a great many things about the 'lives of humans'. I thought it was notable he used the word 'humans', since he seemed to be giving the impression that he was something different and somewhat more advanced.
Over the next six months, Zaz seemed to grow stronger.
I began having strange dreams - tornados, windstorms, fires, violent images of wolves, snakes and other creatures, some of which I have never seen anything like in my entire life. In my conversations with Zaz, he said we were growing 'closer' and that he was 'with' me all the time. He told me that one day I wouldn't need the board to talk to him.

I was...to aquire a spiritual familiar, a demon who called himself 'Zaz' and seemed quite intelligent, helpful and had a pleasant disposition. My one gift has been Demonomancy through dream divination( I MUST point out that when I say 'Demonomancy' I am talking about the Traditional standards of respect, honor and INVITATION, not evocation)... T?he more I cultivated it , the more powerful it became.

Spirits contacted through the ouija are well known for telling a few truths to gain your trust but are better known for LYING!

I know there are forces that communicate through those boards.. I have talked to them myself.. however what their nature is, is unknown and I strongly suggest you do not put any stock in what is being said as truth and please do not strike up any bargains. I know its exciting to touch the unknown but not at the price you might pay. My friends and I knew when to quit.. and we have never touched a board since.

I am quite certain my experience is posted on a thread somewhere here in this forum.. just suffice it to say one of my friends was chased across the floor by a makeshift(not even a real) planchette that was in actuallity just a small glass dish for keepsakes about 2 and a half inches long. Let me stress no one was touching this thing as it moved towards her. we all let go!

Firstly, congrats on your first post ;P

Secondly, that's a pretty interesting story you have there. But given what was said two posts up strongly suggests this "Zaz" character is definately something widespread, and what you've said yourself. You should try to drop that slight skepticism of the board ^)^

Excuse my intrusion:

I am the author of the first and original 'The Ouija Board and a Demon named Zaz' stories that were first posted on the A Haunting Forums several years ago. At the time I posted my story, there were no claims, on the internet or otherwise, of a demon named 'Zaz', much less people reaching him via Ouija board.

I posted my experience, and it 'viral'. The A Haunting forum mod ended up locking the thread after it logged over 60,000 readers and grew to such a length that it was incredible. I met friends on that thread that I still talk to today.

Now several years later, when I go back and check, suddenly other people are claiming to be talking to him.

I sincerely hope that they, and you, are wrong about that, because he is not a spirit to 'play' with. If you piss him off, you are going to regret it.

I have been searching for people re-posting my story and have left other posts on other forums about the origination of the story and also where Zaz first made his appearance. I find it insane that now so many people have claimed to speak to him, because back when I was writing about it, there was no one. This was several years ago, as in nine or ten. Back when the show A Haunting first came on TV for the first time.

All I can say is I find it deeply disturbing that people could read that story and then seek him out. It is not wise.

You are not in control. Don't even make the *mistake* of believing you are. At the time I met Zaz I was using occult practices, so I ended up learning the hard way. You aren't in control, he is not your 'friend', and you are playing with fire.

ITS YOU? the one where Zaz and you had this lengthy conversation about life and all sorts? glad to meet you! i emailed you a good couple of years back to ask if there was anything else he said about life, it was a really fascinating story.

i've tried the board and it hasn't turned out to be the use i wanted it to be, i wanted questions answering , not just jumbled letters.

do you still use the board and speak to him? i've seen your story posted all over the place.

I wonder at HOW anything like this is in ANYWAY a good thing to have ANY sort of contact with?

A few things I know to be true:

1. The Ouija Board does not work for everyone; some people can use it better than others. It depends upon the person or persons who are trying to use it. The Ouija in itself is nothing - it's just a board. When you lay your hands on it, all information that comes through the board comes *through you* - you are channeling spirits and allowing them to use your consciousness to speak ( via your hands on the board ) - this is why when I read about people following Ouija 'rules', I always laugh. For instance, the 'myth' that if you say 'Goodbye' on a Ouija board, the spirit must leave. On the contrary, it doesn't have to go anywhere, because you summoned it. It can do as it wishes, and if you're lucky, it won't attach to you and slowly drive you insane.

2. I only now make contact with Zaz infrequently a few times a year. I do not need a Ouija board to do this. I stopped using a Ouija Board because once you whip it out in any house, you eventually end up with a problem. You end up with a multiple-spirit-haunting, and half of them aren't even human. If you really want to use a Ouija Board in your house, don't be surprised if everything starts going to hell. If nothing happens, count yourself lucky and quit while you are ahead.

3. I stopped 'making contact' with Zaz when I pissed him off, and he spent almost a year trying to drive me insane. I warded him off me, and it lasted for years. Eventually I sensed him around, and he revealed himself, yet that's as far as that has gone. I know that if I have him around, I am risking the safety of the others in my house. I have seen what he can do.

That story blew up in a way I could have never expected. I made friends on that thread I still have today. Over 60,000 people read it, and that blows my mind. Now years later, I see other people who have called him up, and I wonder if I didn't unleash him on the world. But truthfully, he was already out there to begin with......but my story made him famous. He was well aware of this, and more than once gloated that he would be 'famous across the world!' And he probably now is, thanks to the Internet.

I am going to be laughing at that remark about the JoyOfSatan's groups depictions of demons all night. I knew I wasn't the only one who noticed that all 'their' demons look like something off the cover of a romance novel.

From what I saw, that cannot be true. I'm sure some divine entities portray themselves as creatures of beauty, but one thing I learned from my occult days, is if a spirit is a creature of darkness, it will delight in appearing as a creature of darkness.

One thing Zaz did tell me that I came to believe years later was that Demons and Devils are not the same entity and were different. He said Devils were older and more powerful, and ranked above Demons. I thought this was bizarre at the time but years and years later came to believe this to be very true. I remember almost everything he ever told me, I 'talked' to him for many years.

I think of writing a book about this, and it would take months and months to put it all down.

This post really freaked me out. I was talking about ouija boards yesterday with a friend and i got curious last night. I had this verry same experience. After talking about ouija boards yesterday i got curious last night and searched " is there a demon or spirit named ZAZ?" and it led me straight here. I dont kniw WTF is going on but its too weird. When i was 14-15 me and my friends really got into wicca and Ouija. Boards. Innocent fun right??? I asked "is anyone there?" and it wouldn't. Answer then the planchette started in circles and spelled ZAZ. I said who are you and it went to ZAZ very violently. I said how did you die?? It said it was murdered and that it was Lucifer's broth
5%%%%%RBCer. by now. Im in shock!! I said good bye. I didnt mess with it for weeks then me and my friends Got on it one night.i asked i s anyone there. It was ZAZ i asked hik to plz leave my. Board and he just kept spelling ZAZ over and over very hard to where my fingers were sliding off. For months after I had lots of things going on in my house. Whispering voices when no one was there except me ..things moving... Cabinets. Slamming...footsteps but no one was there. ...i had horrible nightmares .. I heard growling and hissing. Id have dreams where i felt like i was being held down and id scream for help but i was voiceless. Horrible things. I couldnt even sleep in the same room with the ouija board anymore. I played another board a couple yrs later. And ZAZ got stuck on this board too. I never played again. I would just like to know. Who or what ZAZ is and why so many people.that ive never met have experienced same exact thing. Very eerie and. Proves theres def other worlds out. There.

It would always go in many circles
