I think faith, is the belief in something pure, and cannot be taken from you when you truly have a grasp of your faith.
I use to be Baptist, and i grew up that way. My parents aren't religious people, it was my Nanna (My dad's mother) that took me to church every Sunday.
I never got along with my parents, verbally abusive they are. My Nanna use to "save" me from them every weekend. I started to loose my faith in God, when she was taken from me. I was 11. I wondered why such a great God, would take her away from me when I needed her so much. I still went to church though, this time my Aunt Janet, (same side of the family) taking me.
I found Wicca when I was 13. It taught my a ton of stuff, and made me realize that things happen for a reason. I understood death finally. So, I embraced Wicca, and found that alot of my own morals and beliefs were the same.
That is also when I realized what Fate was. Fate to me is things that are meant to happen in everyone's life.
It was Fate I got pregnant with my first daughter when I was 18. She saved me from a life of drug addiction, 'cause I WANTED to be a good mom!

So my question to you, my fellow ATSers, What is your take on Faith and Fate?????

Missa, you should be proud of yourself, for stepping up, and taking control of your life, for you and your little treasure. I bet your gran would be very proud of you too. Are your parents in your life at all? (don't answer this if it's to personal)
For me life is just a small stepping stone along the way, sometimes things happen to one, that seem terrible at the time but later you realise, that it all comes together to make you who you are. No regrets is my motto, and remembering to be true to myself. sounds cliche' i know but... .
Your little one will be loved, and know how to love. You have broken the cycle of abuse. Good on you. wish you all the best missa. nuts.

Thank you! I now have 2 daughters, Rowan the oldest is 6 now, and Adrianna is 2.
I do see my parents, i realize that they did they're best, and were WAY less abusive than they're parents!
College is next for me. I wanna be a sign language interpreter.

Like you said, things happen for a reason and most of us had to go through life’s struggles and obstacles until something (or someone, like your first daughter) manifests in our reality that we perceive as positive. This is called FATE. You WANTED to be something better than how your parents had treated you, this is your FAITH – a faith in yourself, not so much being born and raised in a religion that didn’t fit your belief system or praying to an invisible ‘God’ that didn’t rescue you from an otherwise abusive past, to discover what is best for you.

I too outgrew my ‘Christian’ ways but have also discovered some truth in Wicca that made me realize not to be ignorant or disrespectful of those whose moral and belief systems differ from mine. I admire your strength to overcome life’s challenges. And good luck with your endeavors. If I were there with you in person, I would sign the letters ‘H’ and ‘I’ for the word ‘HI’ to you.
