Big sections of China have massive transportation stoppages...all over the Northern hemisphere snows are snarling transportation and so doesn't this mean less driving and flying thus less gas usage? If prices are truly set by supply and demand as we are told, how come gas prices are not coming down?

I think (@ $ prices in USA) they wanted it around $3.00 a gallon; they got it, and it's going to stay there no matter what happens.

I read an article on this about 20 years ago. Big oil wanted the US to be on the same pace with Europe with their gas prices. They pretty much got it and I don't think it will go down much. No matter how much we conserve they will come up with so excuse to keep the prices up.
