CIA Eyes the Internet?

I am relatively new to this site and do more reading than I do posting but I stumbled on to this article and just wonder if anyone has any further information about this or knows how accurate the story is given that I know they tend to embelish articles to some degree.

Thoughts?

Edit: I guess I should have sort of put a synopsis here. Basically they are saying that the CIA may be making up stories about cities power grids being hacked in order to get control of the internet here on the mainland. No one knows what cities. No one knows what reports they are refering to. They are sort of just making blanket statements and then a reporter refers to some demonstration that was done to show how their generator was left inoperable after it was tampered with through a hack. In other words, they are moving one step closer to online surveillance...unless you think that they do it anyway already.
