Police reviewing a rash of teen suicides all in the same area of Wales

Could more kids have hung themselves according to the Daily Mirror *UK Newspaper*, they're still saying they're more on the domino effect of people (i.e. teenagers) being depressed anyway and not getting help, then seeing a friend do it and doing it because they've felt depressed too.

No, in fairness, there is a BIG problem with underage drinking, pot (and other drugs particularly opiates) in SW and I'd imagine that in a larger town, then its far more rampant.

It does appear to be quite odd of a coincidence, but quite a few doctors in Wales are or at least were stil prescribing the antidepressant that was banned for teenage suicide (Paroxetine) in other countries (inc. England).

I'll keep my eyes open for anything fishy, but its a couple of miles to Bridge from my town.

Maybe someone is cutting Paroxetine up and mixing it with coc aine to make a few extra bucks. Theoretically, the users would not only feel the withdrawal from coc aine but also from the anti-depressant.

According to Wiki Paroxetine is an off-white and odorless powder. I'll put away my Jumping to Conclusions Mat and read some more about it. I figured I would take a shot in the dark before jumping down the hole.

Yheah that mosquito thing is for real. Who knows, maybe subliminal messages are used in similar devices as some macabre test in the Bridgend area?

The Bbc is saying there is no link between these deaths and the others, but then carries on with the whole bebo/myspace/facebook thing...


Odd.

There is a report in todays Daily Star, (yes, I have far too much free time on my hands at the moment and I know it's far from being a credible read), which links the deaths to suicide websites. (In light of the events in Bridgend I have not named these sites or provided links).

I suspect that this is just an example of sensationalist journalism but I would not rule out an underlying common cause / link.

Yronwode, 46, describes himself as the "outreach director" for an extremist cult called the Church of Euthanasia, which advocates suicide as a means of saving the world from the effects of overpopulation.

Writing under the name Boboroshi, he has edited a suicide guide, which details various methods. Yronwode's own website contains links to online suicide discussion boards and forums.

He told this newspaper: "The guide is there to make it easier for people who opt for suicide to carry it out. The purpose of my information is empowerment for competent human beings who have an interest in ending their lives. What's the problem with that?

And I was just saying we need to find out whats happening NOW before someone else dies, guess we were too late.

This is truly bizarre. Only read about it briefly in the daily mail, but is there any suspicion or evidence that some of these teenagers were murdered and it was made to look like suicide.

That's an interesting point, thanks for sharing your wisdom. It must be an emo thing, as only 'emos' and 'goths' kill themselves. In the same way that all hip hoppers are gangsters, all asians are terrorists, all welsh people have a fondness for sheep, and so on...
