weird plant people

Im from scotland and I don't know about use but when I was glancing threw the paper this afternoon i came across a story about a vegtable root pulled from the earth in china it is a man and a women holding each other close either this is a hoax or theres sumthing up with the plants i will add pictures or a link as soon as i find some on the web
