H.R. 1585 - Will the Bush Regime Continue?

are we headed for a police state? Is Bush engineering some kind of attack before the end of his term?

(Under TITLE XVI, NATIONAL GUARD ENHANCEMENT) .....

DETERMINATION OF DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CIVIL SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS

(a) DETERMINATION OF REQUIREMENTS---- The Secretary of Defense shall determine the military-unique capabilities needed to be provided by the Department of Defense to support civil authorities in an incident of national significance or a catastrophic incident.

(b) PLAN FOR FUNDING CAPABILITIES---

(1) PLAN----The Secretary of Defense shall develop and implement a plan, in coordination with the Secretaries of the military departments and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, for providing the funds and resources necessary to develop and maintain the following:

(A) The military-unique capabilities determined under subsection (a).

(B) Any additional capabilities determined by the Secretary to be necessary to support the use of the active components and the reserve components of the armed forces for homeland defense missions, domestic emergency responses, and providing military support to civil authorities.

(2) TERM OF PLAN---- The plan required under paragraph (1) shall cover at least five years...."

If that is to happen it would give Bush plenty of time to oversee the "peace" process for his buddies in Isreal.

I find it odd that the Isrealies have become so bold cutting off food and oil right on the tail of Bush's visit.

I think it is very likely that a state of emergency will be declared and Bush will remain in office.

This bill (May '07) would allow the department of defense to augment civilian civilian law during pandemic or bio terror attack leads me to believe Bush is up to something before he leaves office.

first an attack on us soil, terrorist or bio-terror; also, imagine wwIII breakes out over the middle east; we already have a global market plunge, not to mention mother nature is making it impossible to live in certain geographic areas, what is it going to take to scare the living crap out of the american people? A threat of being killed unless they accept the changes being made by Bush on our behalf?
