Everyone is worrying(and rightly so) about the virus mutating to human to human form. Staying in bird form and whiping out a significant portion of food supply is not good either..

You have to love how the villiagers are throwing the dead birds in the water. That seems like a pretty bad idea.

I am still not going to be alarmed by the bird flu until it actually kills a reasonable number of people. What can the average Joe do about bird flu besides be afraid? Go out and buy some Tamiflu? No thanks, I will wait until there is actually something I can do about it.

Actually tamiflu has shown mixed results and since virus is not human to human there is no data on that. One other thread I mentioned a program maybe on history channel -very good if it comes around again.

The H5N1 strain of bird flu is regarded as highly pathogenic and can also cause disease and death in humans.
