1. The Band- The Last Waltz
2. Led Zeppelin- II
3. The White Stripes- White Blood Cells
4. The Black Crowes- Southern Harmony and Musical Companion
5. The Mars Volta- De-Loused In the Comatorium

7. The Black Keys- Magic Potion
8. The Band- Stage Fright
9. Kings of Leon- Because of the Times

These could go in any order really, and many others could fit on the list, it's awful hard to narrow down music into any top list. I like some of the others choices, good to see the Black Crowes getting their props. Southern Harmony is truly a great album.

O.K., I don't know how anyone is supposed to come up with the ultimate 10 list considering the enormous amount of talent to come down the pike in the last 40-50 years; plus the fact that my "top 10" may change from day-to-day. So here is my TOP 10 album list as of this minute, in no particular order:

The Beatles : Abbey Road
The Rolling Stones : Forty Licks
Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon
Doors: L.A. Woman
Miles Davis: Kind of Blue
Bob Dylan: Blood on the Tracks
The Beach Boys: Pet Sounds
Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin II
Jimi Hendrix: BBC Sessions
John Coltrane: A Love Supreme

It doesn't seem fair somehow to limit it to just 10 albums so I'll list a few more that I could just as easily have mentioned above:

Derrick & The Dominos: Layla
Stevie Ray Vaughn: Live at Montreaux 1985 & 1989
Joni Mitchell: Blue

...

I could go on for quite a while but i guess I'll stop with what I've got here...

Oh Wow! I like totally forgot to mention Frank Zappa and The Allman Brothers...Oh Well...
