Whore of bablyon america??

I been reading revelations lately and have a question.

The Whore of bablyon was talk to be one that all county will be use by. The whore will be drunk with the wine of the saints. And so forth.

If more can be said on the whore of bablyon please post. My question is what happen if that whore was america. america could be drunk with the wine of the saint. almost all countys use america or copy our culture. from movies to music,to sex, and tv, and clothes. not only that we have a little of everthing here. we got everty type of race here and the whore sounds so but like it could be america.

The description God gave for her was;

I take it pretty literally. Could be wrong but it would make sense. Prophecy scholars thought the reference to Israel being a sovereign nation again was metaphorical but this happened in 1948. They thought the Revived Roman Empire was metaphorical but now we have the European Union. They thought the ability for the whole world to witness events as they occur was metaphorical but now we have the technology via satellites.

So, if it talks about the final destruction of Babylon (in both the Old and New Testaments) which has not yet happened, then expect a literal Babylon. But this is not just a guess on my part. Saddam spent 20 years rebuilding the ruins of Babylon, after his death the process is being continued by others, and there have been several news articles showing the big plans some have for Babylon.

CS, before 1500 only onecurch eisted, protestantism didnt exist.. It was the true Catholic church...which many of its emmebers were slaughtered well before protestantism existed by Rome especially before 300 ad..

They do not have pagan symbols, unless its from the V2 church of freemasons.

I don't think it's Ny., but, Jesus said there were already many antichrists when he was here.
So, they may look like her, but, they aren't as 'big and bad' as her.
I think the catholic church was evil, BEFORE V2, because of things, like St. Bartholemew's day massacre and the inquisitions, et al.

But, it is now morphing into an entity to control world governments, entirely.

I think it is easy for us to understand in scope, that the Whore of Babylon is an undesirable state of being, whether it is America or any other nation.
America, like Rome has been drunk with her wealth and her ways.

But within her, resides a will of doing right, and a premise of Euality and justice for all mankind.

Therefore, when reading revelations, do what you can to not become that which is an abomination.

Clearskies, those acts do not in them selves make the members of the church the innocent ones evil.. For it is the only church which existed 1500 years before protestants..

Now I dont know about the st Barthalomew massacre and the inquisition, and what started those events, but I do know God created a church which has created many saints and miracles, and I know myelf what ive felt in communion, I used to be protestant..


what i mean about V2, is that v2 canged the teachings of the church, modernizing them, and the popes are all antipopes since V2 in their heretical teachings....

But this council, false church was predicted by saints and its not going to last much longer because it has had intercourse with the world as apocolypse has said........

I dont think the whore would be a state in america. I think it would be the whole of america. The whore that sits on MANY WATERS. SHE IS DRUNK WITH THE WINE OF THE SAINTS. And something about all the country use her. This sounds so much like america it not even funny. The whor is in the great city babylon. The problem is, is that babylon is described as a (ctiy) and not a country...

and the whore is in the city.... So I dont see how this country, although this placei ancient egypt all over and will be used as antichrists footstool, can be the great babylon...

Its not likely, but this place is very wicked and growing more so every year. I like my country and God says to not hat your country but pray for it, but its a bad place filled with sin.... and is governed by freemasons who true origin is satan worship, its on the dollar...

Well maybe but it would be nice if you would spell Leyla right- first off. Man has added their own rules and laws to religion for the past 2000 years. No where did I ever recal hearing Jesus saying don't worry you can change the Sabbath to Sunday. The 7th day is Saturday which is a day of rest.

No were in the bible did God say to be save go to the church walk into a booth and ask forgivness from the holy man.

What the 12 did throw the power of Jesus was heal and forgive throw the power of God. Praying and talking to God throw the power of Jesus is what forgive sins. Not walking to a booth to talk to a holy man. Communion the bible does not talk about what so ever.

I had an issue when I was at Church. I stated that I would not call the Priest Father, as I have one Father and that is God. The Priest did not like it at all.

I hate to say it, but I have had the same gut feeling as the original poster here. Every time I read Rev. my gut says the same thing. I don't like the idea, but when I look at my nation I see the whore the whole world follows. We have become the greatest power on earth, and yet sink to the depths of the most wicked. Granted there are other nations/city's which display a far greater acceptance of what the Bible calls sinful nature, Amsterdam comes to mind with it's acceptance of drug use and prostitution etc. but they by no means exhort a greater influence on the world than the U.S. No other nation has influenced the world greater than America, and the book of revelation was written for and about the end of the world. Every great established civilization has crumbled in the past, but none before now have possed the ability to destroy the planet with it's weaponry until now, i.e. nuclear war. (break that down New-clear War)
The passage that haunts me most states "come out of her my people", I take that to mean something along the lines of what HIFIGUY stated, i.e. find the awareness that leads one out...
