A middle school student collapsed and died during a girls’ basketball game in Hitchcock Monday night. She is the second area middle school student-athlete to die in the past week while playing basketball.

Kaylyn Bowclair had just gone to the bench with about a minute left in the 8th-grade girls’ game vs. Boiling, when she collapsed.
The 13-year-old was initially revived by an onsite defibrillator, but died after she was taken to Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.

She seems to be the second student. I don't know if its the same school or what. But I wonder how are they training these kids now to play basketball? Its a shame someone so damn young had to die like that.
