Hi all,

I have noticed that the recent New Hampsire recount, demanded by Dennis Kucinich (Dem) and Albert Howard (Rep), has been deliberately avoided coverage in the Main Stream Media. I am talking in the instances of Main Stream Media Internet sites, Television and Print Media.

It seems that the Main Stream Media (Left/Right/Liberal) is waging a campaign of whitewashing the fact that the New Hampshire Elections may not have been fair. I fear that they are burying their heads in the sand on purpose as they gain more financially or in the realms of political influence from the status quo, than from exposure that they are complicit in the covering up of electoral fraud.

As a side note this is not only an american problem, Labour election officials in Birmingham in the UK were caught red-handed stuffing ballots in 2005.

news.bbc.co.uk...

I feel that for a democracy/republic to function properly, the citizens of that system must hold the government in contempt and place the burden of truth upon them. Governments Must Have Accountability and Transparancy.

The reason I have started this thread is to get others views on the current situation in the main stream media and their reluctance to report the truth.

I know that the main stream media is owned by corporate interests, what I am interested is what your views are on the status quo. Are you happy with the Main Stream media or are you sick of being lied to?

I commented on this this morning in another thread. However, it IS mentioned now. Just buried deeply. There is no mention of it on the CNN main page but if you go to www.cnn.com... it is listed under the 'ticker' section.

As usual, news of OJ and Brittney get more mention

It truely is a sad state of affairs that the latest britney freak out, garners more media coverage than the fairness of a national election.

Which confirms again and again how American politics and media are sold out to the elite.
They are in control. It's no conspiracy , it's pure reality.
The masses must open their eyes and not accept criminals running the show.
With a bit of luck some people in the big media will resist against this. How can a person sell his/her soul like this.
It's pure propaganda. One of the 10 steps to a policestate where you can't think for yourself.

This is what I did :
Start a list of news sources, services which you know are slanted. (CNN, Reuters, AP -the big one). Add newspapers, magazines, etc., journalism serves corporat gov't, not public interest, New York Times, Boston Globe, etc. Lots in this group would considered 'sell-outs'.
Then there are the outright lying propaganda machines, FOX, CNN Headline News.
NBC and CBS are in there somewhere too.
Once you have your list, refuse to watch, read or buy their stuff. Then much of the media control will not affect you. With the added bonus that you may affect them economically. (remember Dump Fox Stock ?).

In order to evaluate news sources, first, follow a specific topic or story, comb all sources.
Some will have a different view on the same story. Some will not report story at all. Or leave out important causes or facts, or simply change it altogether.
Secondly, you have an area of knowledge, something you know a great deal about. Read what the sources have to say about it. Did they get it right? It is for you to decide.

Is is very important to think critically. Esp. now.
