and if I was stuck in the cave, I'd bring Colin Farrell. sure, he's a manwhore. but seeing as I'm the only female in this thread, I'd have him all to myself!

I'd take ONLY scientists, artists, engineers, and philosophers all that share my worldview and have extremely high IQs. I'd make sure all ethnicities are represented and require them to mate with someone of another ethnicity in order to create a "blended" humanity.

I'd have have them work on advanced technology so once it's time to come out of the vault we can fight off of the mutated throwbacks that are the remnants of humanity.


EDIT: Oh...I just noticed you said if North America was destroyed. If that were the case and just America, Canada, and Central Am. were going bye bye, I'd probably take no one. I'd crawl out of my hole after a while and move to Europe or Asia.
I might take some hot babes or someone who offers me enough money. It's not like all of human civilizaton is being destroyed...

Talent???? Well I'll agree his producers and song writers have talent, the only thing he ever did was dance well.

He writes nearly all of his songs totally alone for your information, and a FEW songs are co-written with people, but usually then he writes the song they just write the extra words, like in Thriller someone else wrote the part where the wierd voice talks about raising the dead. The important parts are him, someone else included may be just for research purposes on some subject such as the occult that he is not knowledgable in. Yes, talented is a great voice, wonderful dancing as well of course. He did not even start the fancy dancing until later on anyways, yet he has always produced number 1 hits, even as a child. So sorry your pathetic illusion that he is not talented is false. He is very talented, and is the King of Pop for a reason.

He is in the Guiness Book of records for various things including youngest child to make number 1, most albums ever sold (thriller - no not the music video with dancing, the album since people love his voice, hundreds of millions of people to be exact), most sucessful singer (This was based on facts including the most attendance for his tour, as well as most money made off of them, and various other records as well. He has also won countless awards, most of which are for singing, though a few for dancing as well. Just listen to his songs...even as a slow singer, which is not his main type, he is better then people who devote their lives only to slow songs. No one has accused MIchael "The most talented person on the planet" of not being talented, or even of not writing his own songs. He writes them, or someone else would be suing the pants of him for taking credit. If he ever has help with some songs by law he must include it in the credits, as he does, on those few particular songs. Your statement is just another made of jealousy, or ignorance obviously.

Yes only inviting members with a high IQ sounds like a good idea, to ensure a good gene pool, and only intelligent people in the new world, which would make chances for a successful operation very high.

I guess some people believe in the laws, such as, innocent until proven guilty. I will tell you what, if he is proven guilty, with good reason, we would not allow him in the Vault. I truly believe he is innocent of the terrible, malicious, vengeful charges directed so savagely against him.

Why would you want to bring him in even if he's innocent? He's just looking scary as hell.

I think I'd faint and my heart would stop each time I would see him pass by.

Your right, the studies on IQ show that hereditary is not an extremely large factor, however it is believed this is due to the fact that some genes remain inactive in the growth of the parents, that may become active in the childs growth. The theory is though that if everyone were smart, then eventually the bad genes could be sorted out. Of course, they might just keep making appearances, but we may as well make chances best as they can be for creating an intelligent population.

I can't believe somebody said they wouldn't bring Michael Jackson in even if he's innocent because he "looks scary." Oh come on! That is probably one of the most ignorant comments I've heard all day. (even if it was intended as a joke, it wasn't funny)
