Freemasons in America
Many founding fathers were Freemasons and helped influence the structure of American society including; George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, and Thomas Jefferson. These men and more have added their thoughts, wishes, and expectations to the building and development of the United States Constitution. Many Masons have been involved in events that have altered the outcome of the starting of the relatively new America. The Freemasons have had a long-standing relationship with the United States government from its early years with George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Franklin D. Roosevelt; this religion, as it can be called nothing less, has had a significant influence in the development of the United States constitution as well as the structure of the federal government and our system of laws.
The founding fathers, who were masons, have had in some way, an influence in how we live in accordance to the law. During the Revolutionary War, Benjamin Franklin knew that without outside help from other countries as allies to America, surely England would win the war. Franklin got permission from the king to gather a band of volunteers to help fight for the American cause. Benjamin Franklin knew America needed more, so he had to persuade the French government to declare war on the English government. Benjamin finally succeeded after eighteen months of arguing to get what he wanted (The Freemasons). Multiple times, Franklin had a say or protested certain issues, and for the most part, whatever he protested for, turned in his favor. When the English parliament decided to put a tax on all the stamps, a resistance broke out that fueled many political leaders’ fires. Benjamin Franklin was in England at the time this resistance broke out and he openly encouraged the band of brothers against the Stamp Act (The Freemasons). Franklin’s influence in the decision of the French government helped make the victory of the Revolutionary War slightly easier and quicker. Had it not been for the help of the French, the English would have won the war.

Incorrect, untrue, and easily researched; 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence, 9 were Masons. 39 signors of the Constitution, 13 were Masons. 74 Continental Army Generals, 33 were Masons.

There is no evidence that Thomas Jefferson was a Mason.

Yes the Masons contributed greatly to the founding of America...they did it as Patriots though, not as Masons.
