Would like to know what happened to the links to the sites that track how all the forum boards stack up against each other.
It was interesting to see where ATS ranked and if the ranking was moving up or down.

Sanctum
thanks for posting the information.
But that link use to be on the bottom of the ats page, its not any more. I liked it when that link was there because I could click on it every time I saw the numbers change, or just want to check the stats. So am just wondering where that link went and the other one that was there a week or so ago.

I thought this quote was interesting, especially the use of the word scandalous.

Deny Ignorance. The motto is simple and clear, to deny ignorance through informed discussion and debate on the political and scandalous topics that have shaped history and influence current events.

From the same source above.

I see that there is alot of "unique" traffic each day. I suspect unique means new?

Interest
I am no expert but unique I think means unique users. Meaning it does not matter how many times you pull up a new page, you are recorded as a unique user only once for that day, or month ect.

Also, great avatar you have.

I removed the Big-Boards.com link because of some unpredictable technology issues on their end... from time to time, it would slow down the loading of pages.

Depending on the ebb and flow of events, we've cracked into the top-three most-trafficked boards as tracked by Big-Boards... and currently, Google analytics recorded over 56,000 unique visitors for yesterday, ranking us as the 5th most-trafficked english language board.
(Because we've removed the tags/images, their data on us may no longer be accurate.)

Skeptic,
Thank you very much for saying why the link to big boards was removed.
Ranking fifth for yesterday among English language boards, wow! That is great. Congratulations to you and your staff.

Additional note...

We're tracked by QuantCast which provides up-to-date tracking and comparisons against all known websites (like Alexa but much more accurate and reliable).

According to QuantCast, our current ranking places us in the top 0.02% of all websites. Or, in other words, we're in the top two-one-thousandths of the Internet's most popular websites.

it's just like an accountant that can report on any number of statistics
add up to what they want them to say.

i'd wonder if their would be any 'where does it rank' category
on howq often there's site snaufu's & it akes a page as long as dial-up
to pop open..
all morning the [... /160f.html ] & the [.../728.html] servers/routers
have been looping and repeating incessantly for a page or post reply to
come on screen.
I'd put the board on the top 3 for irritating technical problems

Thanks again. It was interesting to see that being in the top two .02% gives a site ranking of 4994.

This is news to me!

Abovetopsecret.com is a top 5,000 site that reaches over 830K monthly uniques, of which 472K (57%) are in the U.S. The site caters to a primarily older, rather male audience. The typical visitor reads New Scientist, subscribes to National Geographic, and follows Ron Paul.

source

None of this applies to me - plus, I thought we had a pretty large female membership, as well as a pretty good age range - or maybe they are just stating their view of the key demographic.

Would be interesting to see a demographic breakdown of membership.

DUH - found it - I really should have known it existed

It's here if anyone else is interested.

This is the first I've heard of any issues in a long time... and it's not really clear what you're referring to. Can you be more specific? Given our very-high traffic and no other complaints, it might be an issue on your end.
