How to show icons function when REPLYing or creating NEW THREAD when using Firefox?

I'm fairly new to Firefox, so this question may seem elementary. Prior to this, I used IE.

When I open up an edit session to reply to a post, the icons for fonts, insert image, etc., are displayed. When using IE, mousing over those icons displays their function. When using Firefox, no description/function is displayed.

Any help? How do I get the icon's function to display? There's not enough room in my brain to remember another dozen icons.

That is just one of those cases where we can see the difference between Internet Explorer and, in this case, Firefox.

Apparently, ATS' pages are created for Internet Explorer, I don't know if that is because of a decision to target the most used browser or because of not knowing (some?) of the differences between browsers.

Internet Explorer (at least version 7 on Windows Vista, the one I use) uses the "alt" tag to show alternate text for an image if it does not have a "title" tag, Firefox and Opera only use the "title" tag, so they ignore the "alt" tag and do not show the text near the cursor.

The only way I know of changing this is by changing the code of the page to use what all (?) browsers interpret in the same way, the "title". If they do that then Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera would show the small help text over the buttons.

But you can use the link as a help, if you look to the bar at the bottom of the page you will see that the link does have information about it (something like "_javascript:italicize"), but that is only because those buttons act as links.

I don't know what version you are using but I'm using 2.0.0.11 and when I mouse over the buttons it tells me what they are down in the bottom left of the bar at the bottom of the browser window. For example: hovering over the envelope results in a message saying "_javascript:email()". It usually just says "Done". Don't know if this helps but wanted to let you know, since it's easy to miss.
