"God" exists in humans. "Satan" exists in humans.
Those who choose a path of helping others while also helping themselves and taking care of themselves, and making a positive impact on society, have
chosen the path of good. A society, or large group, of people choosing the good path make up the illusion or perception that there is a "God".
Those who choose a path of making a negative impact on society, committing serious crimes, and ruining the lives of others, have chosen the path of
evil. A society, or large group, of people choosing the evil path make up the illusion or perception that there is a "Devil".
There are those who look at life and see things that are explained as "instincts" or described as forms of "evolution" and are just too amazed by
what they see to connect the scientific facts with what their eyes and their mind are telling them. The result is the belief in a "creator".
There are also those who get so deep in to religion that they become so blinded from what is reality and what isn't that they become even worse off
than their atheist counterparts whom they accuse of being blinded or ignorant. They become so deeply involved that they pray for and about every
aspect of their lives. Some of these people simply don't want to be inconvenienced, or they are insecure, and feel the need to pray to a higher being
in order to keep their interests and themselves safe.
You see, when you really look at it and consider all of the effects religion has on society, there really is no place for it, and no need for it. I
would venture to bet that more people have died in the name of religion than any other unnatural form of death. There have even been times where an
event has occurred that has been blamed on or tied to religious beliefs, when in fact, it may not have had anything to do with it.
That's what religion does. It's a tool to control the masses. It's a propaganda machine. It divides and conquers.
What does religion stand for? What is it's purpose?
Is it's purpose to promote good? If so, are you claiming those who don't believe in your God aren't capable of being good and helping others?
Is it's purpose to pray to our 'creator' in hopes of being blessed with a good life? If so, couldn't these "blessings" be explained just as
easily by luck and the law of averages?
Is it's purpose to hope that our planet and we as a people survive? If so, why is there disease, destruction, starvation, war, and greed? Is that the
devil winning? If so, why is he winning? I thought our 'creator' was the powerful one? Does he just not care? If so, why do you care about him
then?
Looking around at the state of our world, it becomes clear that either there is no God, or he just doesn't care. Either way, religion becomes
obsolete, now doesn't it?
All humans have the capability of being good, and all humans have the capability of being evil. It's in us all. It's all about personal choice.
It's all about the decisions we make. It's all about self control. It's all about self interest. It's all about how we use and express our
emotions. It's all about how we develop our minds; what we choose to believe and don't believe. It's all about who we allow to lead us, who we
listen to, who we believe. It's all about what we believe as fact, and what we right off as fiction.
All of that leads us down a path to good and evil. We, as "good" humans, do the work that a "God" would be expected to do. We, as "evil" humans,
do the work that a "Devil" would be expected to do.
We, as humans, create the illusion of "God" and the "Devil". We create that illusion because we have to. We create that illusion because there is
no "God" and "Devil" to do it for us.
