NAU: What happens to the border patrol?

As you may or may not know, homeland security has "acquired" the BP as part of their own department, in which their job is to maintain border security, catching drug runners, and your plain old Joe trying to step into America illegally. If the NAU does happen, however what possible use could these people be?

Since they all have to speak Spanish as a requirement, do you think it would be possible they would be rebranded as "southern NAU police" or some similar role? I doubt they could be simply disbanded, given the amount of training invested in these people.
