A Speculative Theory About the Number of the Beast

Okay, in the Bible it says that the Antichrist is some entity (it never does specify a human :puz )that will rule the world. It also says that he will rule the monetary system somehow and that to do economic activity will require the his Number 666 on your person, either in the form of the number, or the symbol, or the name of such, on you forehead or hand. This is just kind of a minor detail, but I wonder if it has something to do with the fraction 2/3. Because when you divide it, you come out with .6repeat... . This number could be symbolic and could have some type of magic force to it. When you think about it, .6 is a majority. As in 2 overruling the 1 to make 3. Or it could relate to the holy trinity somehow, like this guy has the power of 2/3 of the trinity, thus making him in contention with God. I am starting this thread to ask if people (using numerology or psychic powers or knowledge of the occult) have any knowledge about there being a power to the number or fraction 2/3. I know this is vague and dumb, and not a good first thread, but the idea popped into my head when I was tripping and really scared me. Although it's hard to articulate as it was more a fraction of an idea than a whole idea.

Merle, well, to be honest I don't know what kind of "powers" the anti-Christ will have. The bible proclaims that he will have the power to perform "signs and wonders" and that he will "understand dark sentences."

Now as to the "signs and wonders" bit, it seems to imply to me that he will be someone who will be able to manifest some of the same things as Christ did, he may be a "believer" in Christ himself. Perhaps that will be how he will persuade so many to follow his lead.

The whole bit about him "understanding dark sentences" implies to me that he will know things most others don't. He will have a firm understanding of religion, mysticism, science and other fields.. He will basically be an intellectual "superstar." You know, one of those "nerds" who sits in the back of the classroom? Yeah, he'll be one of those.

Interesting. So he's like the next best thing to Christ. I also always wondered if he would be intentionally evil or more like a real leader, where he thinks he's doing good.

Honestly, if you read into what the bible states about this anti-Christ, it becomes apparent to those who actually think for themselves that he really hasn't a clue about being the "anti-Christ." All he knows is that he has a "mission."

As with most people who wind up turning bad, he probably thinks that his plan is best for humanity. The bible says that he will reign for 3 1/2 years before all hell breaks loose. That only happens after he suffers a "fatal wound to the head," in other words, an assasination attempt. I don't know about anyone else, but if someone tried to kill me, I think I'd be pretty pissed as well. You know?

Also, you seem to be interested in the numerological significance of the number 666.. From personal knowledge, I can tell you that 6 is the number of man and materialism. Basically, taking the "mark of the beast" will be a declaration that one prefers a physical kingdom over a spiritual one.

Thanks man. I was looking into the numerological facet more. I already knew about the microchipping from my days studying with the Jehovah's. They're more obsessed with end times than most of the people here on ATS.
