Ripped Off Yet Again!! Now My Thread Is On YouTube!!!

hi to all you guys and mike well you really did me a favour puting my user name in lights on this site ive had 1000+hits in the past 24 hours wow thats amazing maybe i should let mike put more of my vids on this site.id like to make one point i have not made a cent for any of the vids i uploaded to youtube i wonder if mike can say the same ,i did a google search of mike and wow the sites he s into it amazing bet this guy is laughing all the way to the bank.see you on the flipside.

The possibilities that exist for those who do their own research and take the extra effort to put it all together for a website of their own construction really is astounding, isn't it? That he shares it on ATS after gaining permission from admin to link to that website is a bonus for us all.

If Mike frequents other sites, and gets paid for his research and contributions, more power to him.How is that a negative thing?The point is that he DOES do the research.

Agreed mojo, but what you had brought out in your post was the methodology used. In the thread you had mentioned, instead of the 'External Quotes' I had reproduced Dr Boylan's paragraph in quotes ( " ) at the start and end and needless to say, credited him for it in the end. This was changed by the mods and that paragraph put inside 'external quote' ( [ ex ] ). Rightly, as that was the correct way of doing so. But please do note that the author was mentioned and the link given. Further, as the rules go, not more than 15% of an article can be put in quotes. I had put about 30% of it. So it was put under the 'plagiarism rule' which it actually wasn't. It was concerning the length of the 'quote' and the absence of the 'Ex' tag instead of the quote ( " ) which I had put instead.

So there is a difference in what we're discussing here, and the methodology to be adopted for external quotes. But never was it concerning 'plagiarism' per se!

The thing is that ATS as a whole takes it's copyright issues seriously. You can look around on this particular forum and see a couple of threads about it. People here don't mind sharing there work, they just ask for proper acknowledgement of it being thier's.

Oh and no need to shout mate, most of us can read quite fine.

Sorry Mike, i wasnt pickin' on you man i was just trying to make a point, albeit not very well. and then redphantom came out straight after my post trying to give him/her the benefit of the doubt and made me look a dill.
Oh well.
I still believe in giving the benefit of the doubt, if i hadnt been given a second chance many years ago i may have spent a considerable amount of time inside, and i believe i've well and truly paid that debt once i was given a chance at redemption. Thats the point i was trying to get across.

You’ve done a Google search for mikesingh? Have you done a similar search for your pseudo? There are dozens of pages on your name. So did I say it’s amazing to see you in so many sites (some porn too) and that you are laughing all the way to the bank? I didn’t because I have a sense of decency and decorum and trained to act like a gentleman. You’ve forced my hand now. And are you so naive as to suggest that there is only one 'mikesingh' in the whole world?

And I don’t need to laugh all the way to the bank by posting stolen videos on YouTube and trying to make a few bucks doing so. I have enough to last me a few generations. So I wouldn’t be wasting my time doing that.
