pot be legalized?

Why do you think pot should be legalized? (Im not a pothead btw)

Primarily, because alcohol is and I'm certain that it is worse for you than cannabis. I have plenty of reasons why it should be decriminalized. But I would avoid legalization because then the government can tax it and we can't have that. It's just downright hypocritical to legalize a drug like alcohol and still persecute people for good ol' weed.

Because people should be able to do whatever they want as long as it doesnt harm anyone else

I've never heard of anybody goin out and robbin banks, raping people, murdering people, or anything of that sort on pot. When people smoke weed you wanna kick back and have a good time and cause trouble.

Why shouldn't it be legal? Then again they're gonna make ephedra illegal, when it's effective and safe when taken as prescribed, so much of this legality issue goes way beyond logic... or what's right for consumers living in a "free country" anyway. HA, free country! O..K..:shk:

Pot is a natural substance that has caused one known fatality in it's millions of years of being cultivated. Alchohol on the other hand causes thousands of deaths a year and here in Britain, costs the tax payer millions to fix up all the lary drunk people whi o beat each other up outside clubs or fall onto a train track or something. Pot will be legalized one day, it has to be. It's spiritual and physical benefits should not be made illegal. We only get the easily taxed drugs that kill brain cells and cause violence upon one another as apposed to the drugs which make us realised we are being #ed everyday of our lives...

Both alcohol and tobbacco cause worse effects than marijuana. Marijuana actually has medical benefits, many of which could help suffering people in a low cost manner.

Also the Marijuana plant has many other uses, such as creating paper, clothes, fibers, etc. that are cheaper and easier to reproduce than the synthetics that we are forced to pay for.

forget to mention it calms the mind, eases migraines and naseau and opens the appetite.

I thought we already disproved this on an earlier thread. That guy didn't OD over in England, it was a bunch of propaganda. It's impossible to OD on weed. Its even harder to get in a car wreck. The paranoia makes you want to drive better.

People get into car wrecks from pot because night vision is decreased by 70 percent.

I think it should be legalized, but it should be illegal to be intoxicated by it while driving.

I think if pot was legalized, our prisons wouldnt be as full and taxpayers would not pay as much to pay for inmates. Kick all the stoners out of the prisons, and take care of the real criminals.

Well he wasn't actually killed by pot itself but he took too much somehow, I don't know. You can't OD on pot, you couldn't ingest enough marijuana to do it.
