My recent research has led me to believe that you do not think the holy scriptures are completely accurate and that all religions point to a pre-christian or ancient mystery about the "supreme god" and I am just trying to find out if this is indeed the case with freemasonry. That's all, nothing more and nothing less. I will not use this to attack, masonic student has opened my mind why can't you do the same? I'm no longer going to argue that my religion is better then your occult. I call a truce!

I will not call a truce until you stop implanting rhetoric in your statements like this. I could choose to call your brand of christianity many things, but I do not. Until you stop planting this rhetoric in your statements it is quite obvious you are up to something quite different than you claim.

(1) I have never said, nor indicated, that I think the the holy scriptures are not completely accurate. I have in fact said the exact opposite. Do not lie.

(2) Freemasonry never was and never will be part of the occult. That you want to make it so does not change reality. It is a fraternity, thats it.

I will agree to your truce when you really mean it by not subliminally planting your true goals and pre-conceived notions in your statements.

He has spent lots of time blasting the freemasons on the secret society board. I am quite sure he is referring to masons, which is what he means by the letter G. He originally posted this in secret societies and it got moved over to this forum, but I think he originally wanted mason responses only (which is why he posted it in the SS board, as that is where we hang out). Could be wrong, though..

Same as MajorMalfunction,

C

A fictional, mythological character. Created in the same lines that Horus or Hercules were created before him.

Whoa ! Relax, Brother to be...

Don't let someone who is here only to flame and provoke get to you...

I know you as one who has encouraged and nurtured me, and I KNOW you are better than the garbage you are attempting to fight...

Let it be, Brother...

Peace

Tony

It's such an easy answer. If you followed the example and teachings of Jesus you wouldn't have to worry about A.

Ha! My thoughts exactly.

MM got there before me

My answer is C. Mythological character

I'm going to go with C. An Amalgam of several people.

Reading the original post reminded me of another question I saw somewhere:

What is George Bush?
A. A great leader
B. The greatest leader

Right you are. Your temperance indicates that you are already prepared in your heart, as soon to be entered apprentice. Sometimes I lose sight of the virtues masonry has taught me in my own pursuit to stop ignorance. As you correctly state, sometimes its just best to leave it alone. This is one of those cases.

Spirit, I think you are missing the point of Masonry. There are Brothers of Muslim, Christian and Jewish (among others) faiths in the Fraternity, so therefore your question is only relevant to those who are of the Christian faith as all others will not select letter 'A' regardless of their Masonic affiliation. All that is required is that they profess faith in Diety, Yahweh, Allah, Jesus, it is of no consequence how you refer to your God. Whether they accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour does not diminsh nor elevate my opinion of them as a person or a Mason.

As has been explained to you, the letter 'G' can stand for many things. Even in our lectures it represents different things at different times. It is all up to the individual Brother to formulate his own opinions and render his own inferences. That is what makes our institution so great, that it is all encompassing and non-judgemental.
