I know, another Ron Paul post. I'm sure even the supporters are getting tired of seeing his name all over the internet. Over-saturated in some
circles, totally dry in others. But it really has nothing to do with Ron Paul at all.
Does anyone else see what's happening here? I think people are increasinly disillusioned in a world that seems to be flying apart at the seams. Globalism is turning society inside out, whether America is ready for it or not. As America addresses important issues like freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, time marches on. Nations of the world are slowing rising up out of the mire and finding some success in government and society. Our children will face some starkly challenging tasks competing in the job market against the children of many nations who are pumping out engineers and programmers.
Things are going to change whether we like it or not. Revolution is going to come whether we're ready for it or not. Ron Paul isn't the answer, he's merely the catalyst. These grass roots supporters have risen from obscurity to become a powerful force online. This isn't about Ron Paul after the election, this is about a unified disenfranchisement.
The more our government bogs itself down in bloated bureacracy and petty bickering, the more Americans they lose. Revolution isn't coming in 2009, but it's simmering in the pot and the government had better wake up to it or they're going to find that a three state solution might not just be a good idea for Iraq.

If by the "catalyst" you mean "the guy who will inspire torch and pitchfork parties if elected" then yes, I agree fully. Paul's policies are
paleolithic, regressive, and would be extremely harmful to all but the top 2% of Americans. The American people have decided, time and time again, to
vote themselves away from the very places Ron Paul wants us all to return to, and I can't imagine we would be at all happy if he started dragging us
back.

Don't get hung up on Ron Paul, that's not what this topic is about. After the election is over and done with, Paul supporters will still have this community they've built, and they'll still have these examples of what a little organization over the internet can do. I think this campaign has sparked some passion in people for the first time, and i don't think these people are going to forget about after the election.
I think the internet is going to change the way politics work in this country. I think we won't see this from the top down, but more from the ground up. More and more house of representatives will be independent or other "lesser" parties, and this will become a force in politics.
Just think about the areas where there are high number of Ron Paul supporters online. Meetup groups could easily change to focus on the candidacy of a house or senate run, working in smaller areas with intense focus and really turning the tide from the ground up.
