What do u think of Christianity

Im Christian and i would like to know what you think of Chrstianity and Jesus Christ.

I think it is an interesting story. But like most religions the good is hard to find underneath the mind control and almost hysterical repression.

Of the major religions I think is second only to Islam to the harm it has caused, and could be argued as worse.

The vast majority of Christians I've known have been judgmental and arrogant. My own Brother is a minister and responsible for opening my eyes to the hypocrisy. I believe Jesus was mortal like the rest of us.

personally i just dont get religion ... im not sayin its not wrong or people shouldent be religious ... i just dont get why we so blindly follow something that supposedly happened 2000 years ago that the only proof that exhist is a book thats just as old and has been re written and re tranzlated tooooooooo many times

I think you guys know what I think about it. But for different reasons then being brought up cristian which I was not.


Doll monster, if your brother is judgemental and arrogant then he is not following what jesus tuaght, which is judge noone or you yourselfwill be judged even harder, this is
in scripture.



AD, what led you to believe inJesus? How did you convert or realize he was God when you became a christian, I would like to hear if its not a problem?

Messiah Jesjuah is the perfect, the uttermost identical with the Creator of the Universe. He is God, only he is still quite young, therefore he has given us his mind, the Holy Spirit, so you can hear what he has to say a little further into the future after he has received knowledge surpassing that of his enemies (if you can hear and hear and still understand it that is). Like any other religion.

Good in small doses. Overdose on it though, and you end up defeating it's purpose.

I'm a Christian. I love God with all my heart, my soul, and mind.

i dont really understand it religion because im muslimn and christian people think that jesus christ is a god or the son of god but really hes a prophet of god.And america has bombed some of the muslim countrys and killed millions of people who had nothing to do with the bombings in america and those people who bombed these countrys were christains even tho im not racist and i do have christain freinds, but i still dont aprove of christainty

Personally I'm not religious and side with Marx that it's a way of people dealing with the unknowns / their frailties.

That said people are free to believe / worship whatever they want as long as they respect / don't harm others.

Some aspects of christianity do worry me though:

Rarely (if ever) do I hear Christians say 'we believe.....'. Their beliefs are often stated as unassailable facts. This strikes me as very arrogant.

All religions are abused but Christianity has been used by countries and established churches to justify killing, area bombing, assination and even recent invasions.

When I hear boxers say that 'God' was helping them pummel another human being senseless I have to question the modern interpretation of so called Christian beliefs.

I will warn you ahead of time, I am a spiritual anarchist. I believe ALL religions are cults that rob the mind of the higher purpose.

Religions are the easy way out. You believe what you are told to believe and don't question or seek out the truth for yourself. They are a form of spiritual slavery.

The tough road is tearing the shackles off your soul and seeking out God as the child of the creator you were born to be.

You have a choice, Do as the preachers tell you or seek God out as the free child you were born to be.

Spiritual freedom is far more scary, but so much more rewarding. Let me share a very short article i wrote on this. By searching outside the book I learned things I would never have found in it. Its called:


What I believe.

I believe it’s important to occasionally sit down and take stock in the things you believe in. Sure, its easy to list off the things you don’t believe or have discarded because your journey has taught you better, still, it’s often hard to actually list off the things that you do believe. I learned this in a fellowship discussion group long ago. Since then I’ve had to occasionally sit down and put on paper the things that have been bouncing around inside my head.

I start with the last list I made and remove the things I’ve learned to be, well, not wrong but no longer applying to me. Then I add what I’ve learned over the time since I wrote it and go from there.

It makes things allot easier when I’m asked about my beliefs as well. Rather than having to go into a drawn out explanation I can hand them the latest list. I highly recommend this to everyone as well.

Matter of fact, I have learned that its thru the sharing and caring we have in each others lives that we are best able to grow.

Now:

I believe that before man, before the Earth, before the beginning of time, the truth existed, it’s the only thing that has never changed. It’s the only thing that has never needed to change.

I believe that unconditional love is the greatest gift you can give to this world, And to yourself.

I believe that the path someone walks does not make him or her holy. They must make the path holy regardless of the path they have chosen.

I believe that if you can’t see god in everything, than you can’t see god in anything.

I believe that there is only one race, the human race, and we’re all in it together, whether we like it or not.

I believe that forgiveness is not a gift to the person that wronged you; Forgiveness is a gift to yourself so that you may go on with your life in peace.

I believe that even though we express ourselves individually our spirits are all a part of the same being, the one who created all things. E Pluribus Unum, Out of many (people) One (spirit).

I believe that my true reflection will never be seen in a mirror before me, but in the eyes and hearts of the people I share my life with.

I believe that each of us has only one true gift we can give to this world, the gift of ourselves. Everything else will fall away

I believe that political power in the hands of religion has always, always, led to tyranny. I also believe that political power in the hands of religion will always lead to tyranny.

I believe that I have yet to meet a person who could not teach me something, if I will only pay attention.

I believe that every religion or designated path is in itself a cult, for no other reason than it narrows your mind from the broader realities.

I believe that your soul is as unique as the fingerprints on your hand. No one knows what you have learned and of the journey which brought you here. No one that is, except you. That’s why it’s important to share.

I believe that hugs make kids grow. (And they’re not bad for adults either)

I believe that though I am but a drop in the ocean, I am still the ocean. So are you.

I believe that if your heart is at peace with the life your living and your soul is at peace with your creator, who ever you consider that creator to be, than everything else is just icing on the cake.

I believe that hate is a poison to the soul of the person that is doing the hating.

I believe that all who teach us leave a part of their soul in ours.

I believe that in our darkest and most personally damned moments there is a light shining brightly to guide us, and we never realize that till long years have given us perspective.

I believe that your life is a reflection of your perspective on it. If you go around seeing things as being terrible then they inherently will be.

I believe that I have much to learn, and I know I will enjoy every moment of learning it.

I think that Christianity is awesome, and I love God and the Lord Jesus Christ with all of my heart! One day, I hope to have an eternal life in heaven!

I think Christians, mainly the ones in America, should stop having such a persecution complex and realise that there the ones running this country and shoving religion into the government.

But, to be fair, to comment on the post made by Strangerous, Christians were persecuted severely in the Soviet Union, in fact all religion to an extent, but mostly Christians. Christians were rounded up and shot by Bolsheviks, and Churches would be burnt down.

People make up the Church for worship and prayer....to what happens is not of Gods want, but of peoples lack of knowledge of what God wants.
Man always seeks to totally ignore wisdom and takes his own knowledge of 'truth' and then goes on to blame God for his mistakes.
A house of prayer should be a 'house of prayer', but people totally ignore the 'good' and seek out the 'evil' and use that to justify what makes a Christian.(since this is aimed at Christianity.)
Be it of all faiths, there is good and evil in all.......we should judge not, and look at our selves beforwe making accusations at others.
