On the night of 24 Feb, and the morning of 25 Feb, 1940, a Cpl. Stanfield of the Air Police out of Holloman AFB observed and photographed a UFO at
Datil, New Mexico, where his job was as a Range Patrol. The photos eventually end up being sent to a Mrs. Barber in Washington, D.C., and could be in
the Project Blue Book archives.
Cpl. Stanfield, described as "Very reliable" and "Above average", watched the round pulsating light that changed colors, for a total of three
hours. While he could not see any vapor trail with the naked eye, one of his photos is described as showing one. The fact that the photos were of such
quality and detail to determine this means that the originals could have been very good for modern analysis.
Sadly, the reproduction of the photos provided in this document are worthless.
