Yeah man I can play!

It's better with a four though, the next time you and the wife are in Hong Kong pop round!!

It's a great game, but the wife's aunties get ratty with me cos I play too slow!

They slam those tiles at near the speed of sound.

MSN games has nice graphics.

I usually play mahjong when the Texas holdem site is down, which is all the time it seems.

Hey, ChiKey....
Is the mahjong in the Orient played differently than on the net?

Maybe. Every single version of the game I've played on computer or the internet seems to be very different. Most are just made up games using mahjong tiles. And then they call it mahjong

What are the rules of the game you play? The one I'm familiar with involves collecting points so that you can 'pow' (10 points, a point per set)... there are concepts like 'pong' (three of a kind) and 'kong' (four of kind, where you gotta pay up immediately)... it's been a while... I forgot what else..

This is kinda how I play! Never played on the comp, not really a computer games kinda person, other than sports.

I would imagine BC and I could get a game going pretty quick!!

I always seem to "Cha Chong" :throw out what the winner needs, thus you payout more!

Yeah! That's exactly the one I normally play. Now I remember again how it's done. Don't get too many opportunities to play it. Usually once a year -- during Chinese New Year.

Most other times I'll be playing Big Two. Since you're in Hong Kong, I imagine you're familiar with that game as well?

Edit to add -- the secret to both Mahjong and Cho Tai Tee is memory. Gotta remember what your opponents have thrown down.

Haha I learnt that one back in the UK when I was working the tables in London (Casinos) we played on breaks for our wages!!

Whaaa would like big two!

Errr kind of trumps with poker hands?!?

How that worked was the Big 2 - 2 of spades (suits roll spades, hearts, clubs then diamonds) cannot be beaten then he plays 2 flushes to the Ace (Yin in Cantonese) Obviously the dude knew no one could top the first flush!!

Everyone starts with 13 cards, the current winner or the person holding the 3 of diamonds goes first!!

Know anything similar?
