(AGI) - Damascus, 6th December -George W. Bush's visit to the Middle East will not bring peace to the region if US president continues "to place his hopes in the good will of Israel". This is the analysis of the Syrian pro-government daily 'Tishrin', which warned against the risks involved should the head of the White House maintain a stance too close the Hebrew State: "It will further complicate matters and increase tensions".

If Iran is next, then Syra is most likely next, too.

I think there will be a regional war in the Middle East. I think we'll see Saudi Arabia on our side along with Israel and a couple of other more secular muslim nations. I do think Iran and Syria will be on the opposition.

Bush is obviously revving up his engines for something in Iran. All of the talk coming out of the White House sounds very familiar.
