Anyone explain what is was?

theres prolly an earthly explaination for this but i dont know what it was.

i was sat watching tv when i noticed a large bright green light come through the window and eluminate the blinds in front of it, it wasnt so much of a flash, the light started at one end of the window and wiped across so to speak. I looked outside as soon after but it was too dark to notice anything, the window faces out towards another house where a really old women lives all by herself, and alot of trees which obscure alot of the view, o and i did not really hear anything as this happend.

anyone have any thoughts?

perhaps someone was projecting a ball of energy towards to, and whoever was projecting it became distracted and had to stop the focus/concentration, therefore causing the energy to disseminate.
