What is the possibility that this may happen?

This assumes of course that RP will become, let us say, a nuisance to the pre-ordained outcome of the upcoming elections.

By that, I mean upsetting the plan and winning more and more straw polls and the MSM finally starting to cover him, getting on ballots in primaries where the same old gang had things pretty well rigged, and then finally winning conclusively a televised debate with hillary.

My guess is that if he upsets 3 or 4 key primaries, and raises a few more million directly from the people, he may suffer a "heart attack" sometime in mid summer of '08.
I'm thinking that he will need some food tasters, and some bullet proof glass in the next couple of months.
I give it at least a 50/50 chance if the above starts to occur.

Remember JFK?

That is quite a scary topic to discuss, and I sure hope that nothing like that happens. I sure do believe that he shakes the ground the GOP resides on and I think that he would be great for this country

Scary yes. Impossible?
No.

For some reason, the rash of microbiologist's very strange deaths just occured to me.

Well, I do hope he's taking his vitamins, and has his life insurance premiums paid up....

i think if he starts pushing the wrong buttons (if he gets to office) then it's possible. ron is a no-bs type of guy. he seems like someone that would actually be open with the public with the affairs of the government and i think there would be some resistance to that. there's also the matter of him "trimming fat" - getting rid of extraneous agencies and such. i think there's a good chance that there would be resistance to that as well.

Does anyone realize just how FAT our Gubmint is?

There are untold thousands of people, more likely tens of thousands whose cushy, wasteful, un-necessary, leechy positions would be abolished. And the country would roll right along, no prob, while saving hundreds of millions of dollars per year in fat retirement account payments, inter departmental waste, ad infinitum.
It would be a huge cleanup of the fouled sewer that our gub has become.
Fat and wasteful, and demanding.
I would love to see it. I fear the good Dr. will make some enemies along the way.
I sure hope he survives the next couple of years....

Yes, I agree with the above comment. That this is a scary topic to discuss here. I think Clinton,Obama, and Paul, could all equally be taken out by various agencies, or shadow government for X Y reason

Well.
The above comments really only apply to the good Dr. I have heard nothing about obama or hillbillary cutting out waste or abolishing un-needed gub agencies. He will of course create enemies.
Queen hillbillary will create and hand out new posts and positions with your money, in order to gain alliegance for herself. Dictator /queen hillbillary. All with your money. All for her personal benefit. All hail new laws, the state, and higher taxes, and fewer freedoms.
Only Dr. Paul has espoused the above ideals, as far as I know. Have you heard something from the others about cutting fat/waste from our gub?
I think not.
Hillbillary and obama never heard of a new law, tax, or unconstitutional social management scheme that they did not like. More rules to subjugate the masses. More power to the Gub!
All hail the State.
Man, o' man. Aren't you sick of it all?

Sorry to disagree.

Maybe. It's a possibility I think, and one I've raised on a few other threads. It's no secret that Ron Paul is against the Federal Reserve, and I'm sure the people running the Fed will want to keep themselves going, at the expense of the American people. I would love nothing more than for Ron Paul to win, but I don't have faith in the average voter to make it happen. Assuming he does win, and it looks like he might be poised to do some serious damage to the Fed or other similar organizations, I wouldn't be surprised if he were 'taken out', as you say. Also, as you pointed out, there is a precedent in JFK.
