First of all, I am a skeptic about these things, but have interest in these Paranormal events I hear about, yet am hard pressed to believe in most of
them. At one time, I was much more inquisitive, and used to read anything I could find on all phases of Mysticism. I had a close friend, who also had
interest, and had a Grandmother who used to read Tarot Cards, so we often discussed strange things. My friend, was also an Antique Dealer, and one
day, he presented me with several boxes of hard bound old books, on every subject one could imagine, in Witchcraft, Demonology, Spells, and so on.
One evening, deciding not to go out for the night, I grabbed a few of these books, and was reading through them. I read through couple of them, and
was reading what I remember to be a book on "Spells" as best as I can remember. After several pages, I found myself staring at the page and not
reading, having gotten so sleepy and tired, it was hard to keep my eyes open. I took the open book, and laid it face down on my nightstand. leaving it
open to the place I was reading. I got under the covers, and quickly started falling asleep, or just barely asleep.
I must have started Dreaming, but am not sure if I was totally asleep yet. Was in a very dark, almost black room. In front of me was an old door. I
could tell it was a door, because of an intense white light coming through the cracks around the door, and the distinct keyhole in the door. As I
looked at the door, a golden key appeared on my left, seemingly floating in the air. It was like an old timer keys used many years ago in older
houses. As I looked at the key, I remember seeing a strange "twin pyramid" end on it, sort of superimposed on each other, and remember thinking
"Thats strange" and how in the world this configuration would fit in the keyhole. I looked at the keyhole closer, and it was a match for the strange
key end. As I realized that, it I discovered I could move the key, by just thinking , and moved it toward the keyhole. The Key fit in the lock.
Now, this is where it all became a Nightmare. I was sleeping in an old Antique Bed, made of solid Oak. The rails that hold the box springs along the
entire length of the bed, on both sides where 2x2 oak strips, screwed into the side rails, also of oak, 1 inch thick and 6 inches wide. All this
sitting about 20 inches off the floor.
The rails both split along the screw line, at the same time, which dropped the entire bed, boards, box springs, mattress, and me, 20 inches flat on
the floor at 1 am in the morning. Needless to say, I was awake and sitting up with a "What the?" in my mind. It was a warm Spring night, and all was
quiet, with all the windows open, and I realized what had happened, and my heart quit jumping. At that moment, the wind started. It was deathly quiet
before that moment, and now the wind started blowing, and increased in seconds to the point where the curtains where now whipping around the room, and
the trees outside where swaying back and forth, in a manner you would see in a Gale. Shadows where dancing around the room and outside, and needless
to say, "I WAS FREAKING." The curtains on my left whipped up and came down on my dresser, whipping off a vase, and ashtray into the floor, which
shattered, and I soaked my T shirt in sweat, still freaking. I started to get up and shut the windows, and at that instant, the wind stopped. It did
not start blowing less, but "Stopped" just as if you turned a switch. I sat there totally drained, and wet for a few minutes, until I calmed down
enough to put everything into, what I thought was perspective, and decided it was a freaky combination of weird circumstances. I finally went back to
sleep.
I awoke, and saw the bed was still broke, and remembered the night before, and first thought I had a dream. I got up, and saw the curtains caught
behind the dresser, and the broken glass still on the floor. I realized it was no dream.
