Gave it a chance? You mean I won't spend 500+ on a system the company guarantees will break. You mean I won't upgrade from my xbox to a 360 just so I can play Flashier Halo2, until it breaks. You mean I won't buy a system who's backwards compatability works with so few of its games I'd be flushing a good 300 dollars down the toilet on games I already have and enjoy.

Spend $500 on a system that is guaranteed to break? I think your a little confused because for a company to guarantee something it has to be a %100 probability...Not to mention that you can pick up a XBOX 360 for $350 with less hard drive space, Something the PS3 doesnt even give you the option to do. And correct me if im wrong but wasnt the PS3 released at $500 and was only lowered when sony realized their product couldnt compete at that price. And while your on the topic of backwards compatibility lets think about the DVD aspect of these systems. What good is having blue ray on the system when you have to go out and buy Blue Ray dvd's? And using the excuse that it would be a waste to let all your old games rot is just laughable at best. Heres a novel idea get off your lazy a$$ and hook up your old system.

Now that im done with that let me tell you about my experience with both systems as my roomate went out and got the PS3 the day it was released and I purchased and XBOX. Well after spending 16 hours in line outside of best buy my friend came home all excited about playing his new PS3, and guess what after we hooked it up and put in a game the damn thing wouldnt stay on longer than 30 seconds before it would shut down. Needless to say he was pissed off and had it sent in to get a new one. As for me I havnt had a single problem with my XBOX and maybe im just lucky. As for what sysyem is better and what gets played more in my house its hands down the XBOX. The PS3 basically sits there collecting dust while my friends and I play XBOX due to better games nicer controllers and a more enjoyable gaming experience as a whole. The PS3 is used to play DVD becuase there is a speaker system connceted to it.

Xbox has sold more games and consoles than the PS3 and it is no fluke, Like others have said the PS3 just doesnt have much to offer at this time... but that can always change.

Edit: and to address on of HHH kings earlier statements about PS3 having 10,000 games... Who gives a damn. Ever heard of quality over quantity. Playstation has been notorious over the years for releasing the dumbest games that nobody in their right mind would play let alone pay for.

PS3 offers 20, 40 and 80gig styles, so you lied there...

And Xbox 360 warrenties have all been extended by Microsoft because again it is a garauntee to break. So you lie again.

And qaulity over quanity? Is Halo 2 with flashier graphics better then say, FFVIII? About the only game 360 has that I can't get for my xbox or my PS3 is Mass Effect, everything else meh, either xbox or PS3 beats/matches.

Dont feel bad I wish I had a ps3 as well.

Dont get me wrong I like the 360 but I loved my previous sony systems, I'm not so much a certain company fanboi, but more like a

GAMER

if only ppll would stop drawing lines in the sand.

when it comes to fanboism I am fanboi of titles.

As to the person Lolita? sorry if i cant remember your name as i type this, anyways you should have the 360 laying on its side not standing up thats how the cds get scratched to hell!

Microsoft are incompitent #s. They won't fix the problem. It is a software problem. Tell him to trade it in for a PS3. He wont be dissapoined.

Ha! I caught you in your little scheme... So PS3 offers a 20 and 40 gig yet when you list the prices of PS3 you only list the 20 gig price, yet you list the xbox at $500 which is the most expensive system with more gigs.

And you talka about FFVIII yet thats just another final fantasy game that has been beaten to death over the years with updated graphics so i dont know what your trying to say there. And you forgot about the XBOX title Bioshock which PS3 owners have been crying to get the game released for the PS3 so there are obviously Xbox games that PS3 owners wish they could play.

And you are knocking Microsoft for extending their warranty? haha that just shows Microsofts dedication to keeping their customers happy. And thanks for clearing up the notion that a product having a warranty is a guarantee that it will break... I had no idea. My plasma TV has a warranty and so does my car so I guess I should be waiting for those items to break any time now.

The only thing Sony has going for it is GT (Always a great game) and the GTA series (How many more GTA's are they gonna release its the same crap with a new story line). And ya Final Fantasy is a great title but once again do we really need another final fantasy game?

HOkay, Ive looked on Amazon, Cnet, Best Buy, and Walmart. Guess what, there wasnt anything really comparable. For 400 you get a 40gb playstation 3, which has a built in blu ray player, an hdmi port, and a wireless controller. For about 450 you can get a 360 elite with 120 gb hard drive space, an hdmi port, and its not so shiny, thus not giving you a smudged console. So theres not much comparison to give there. Or, for 300 dollars I can go buy a 360 pro console with a wireless controller, headset, ethrenet cable, and an hdmi port. Plus the online is better.

Then you go as far as to compare halo 3 with final fantasy...What are you smoking. Theyre both completely different genres. Thats like one of the worst comparisons i've ever seen. A better comparison might have been maybe killzone 2 will be way better than halo 3, but you cant because killzone 2 has been in the works for how many years now, and still NOTHING.
Whereas halo3 is done, gone, past, and now were moving onto the new gears of war game. Anyway, I'll reiterate, which you have failed to answer to, if 360 is so god awful why are a bunch of previously sony exclusives going to xbox? And these arent little pissant games, theyre pretty major titles (devil may cry, ace combat, and maybe even final fantasy.)

Killzone isn't that good, at least the first one wasn't and I doubt the second one will be any better.

And also, to the guy who said FF series is just something beat to death, you do realize the only thing the games have in common are the names right? It would be like... Having a series of games called Halo but none of them have the same storyline, same characters, same gameplay. Each game would be Halo, Halo Tactics, Halo III, but none would have anything in common.

And it was just an example.

And yes, Microsoft extended its warrenty because, according to them, more then a third of their product will break. That's coming from MS, that a 3rd will break.

PS3? .01%
Wii? 11%
360? 34%

I agree dude. I'm a gamer too. I just happened to get a PS3 for a present back in March and then watched my Xbox360 friends play wicked games all year while I sat with only a couple saying "one day, one day." I'm happy to say that it took till Xmas, but I have been playing great games constantly now.

With the 33% failure rate (all my friends were in this group) and now the death of HD DVD, I'm pretty happy with things in the end. Took quite a few months though.

Still, I'll get a 360 one day. I still have a PS2 and an Xbox after all.
