tibetan sock-things

My dad has an old pair of what look like tibetan (not sure where they're from) socks- they're not quite socks, they're thicker and more loose. anyways, he wanted another pair for christmas, and I can't figure out what they are (therefore, I can't find any). Does anyone know what they are? thanks

Those look like MUCKLUCKS to me.

I used to have a pair when I was a kid, insanely comfy.
