20,000 vets' brain injuries not listed in Pentagon tally

www.usatoday.com

The data, provided by the Army, Navy and Department of Veterans Affairs, show that about five times as many troops sustained brain trauma as the 4,471 officially listed by the Pentagon through Sept. 30. These cases also are not reflected in the Pentagon's official tally of wounded, which stands at 30,327.

Yet again, the U.S. government not caring about its people. The other article includes 'hidden wounds' and the main one mentioned that 150,000 troops from the Iraq War "may" have suffered brain injuries.

Its not surprising the DoD would do such a thing. Higher injury rates = lower recruitment rates.

I just hope those that have such injuries and are left off official talleys are recieving treatment and not getting the shaft.
