The fact that the first and third videos are from Sony cameras makes me think that the shape of the out of focus light (the circle with a flat bottom) may be common to the type of lens used, and the reason why we must rule out the any out of focus effects when seeing videos like these.

I tried yesterday to reproduce that small object on the bottom of the white circle, but I could not.

What I noticed on my tests was that if I put an object between the camera and a light source but blocking just the bottom of the light, I would get, when filmed out of focus, a circle with a flat top.

If that is the case with the videos posted in this thread, that means that there is something blocking part of the top of the light source.

And I still do not have any explanation for the small object.
