UFO Question

UFOs – Strange craft, extra terrestrial in origin, piloted by highly intelligent beings. They have travelled billions of miles across the gulf of space on an agenda known only to them.
Intelligence superior to our own. Able to distort matter and time to their whim. Remaining elusive and untraceable, save for a few distorted photographs and the occasional impression on the ground when their ship touches down.

Yet, when they come to Earth they have to turn on every light on their space ship. Why?

Why not? To show us that they're there and they exist.

That contradicts everything they seem to do

One, most ufo's are fake.
second, those ufo;s who are not fake are some kind of new military project.
and the little percentage of unknow cases can be anything.

i think aliens do not visit earth, they have no bussines here, there are better planets to go to.
earth is a crap planet, full of crap people, and is almost at its ultimate doom of life.

soon[astrononomical ] our planet will become like mars.

Maybe they use lights on their craft for the same reasons we do on our aircrafts.

Maybe lights are a byproduct of their propulsion systems.

Maybe the sightings where we see lights are military projects. We don't know.

Since we know nothing about them, their intentions, the way they think, etc - as you claim the aliens to have "an agenda known only to them" - we don't know why would they have lights on their craft.

That's why I don't agree with people who say we should dismiss these sightings as being earthly craft just because they have lights on and "aliens wouldn't use lights on their craft".

No the lights are not "turned on". The crafts use a propulsion system which causes the surrounding air to glow due to the ionized air molecules.

The point, of course, is that you've got quite a few assumptions about UFOs that are simply speculation. You don't really know where they are from, how far they have traveled, or whether they are even occupied, and if occupied, the intelligence of the occupants. You've also somewhat mis-characterized UFOs. They don't all show lights, though we've got a pretty good triangle going now in this forum.

Thank you for submitting this hypothetical question for inclusion in our UFO stand-up comedy act. Unfortunately, this question has already been submitted numerous times, and has become a bit hack over the years. This question, along with --

"Why would they fly billions of miles just to anally probe some hillbilly?"
"How come they can fly billions of miles only to crash in the desert?"
"How come nobody can get a clear photo of these things?"

On the more serious note: because most of them, in my oppinion, are of our own origin.
