Why is everyone so obsessed with lowering the deficit? Sure ol' Bill lowered it, at the cost of , to use your word, our prosperity...

To imagine anyone can or will raise taxes on the "Rich" (Who ever they are) and not effect the Poor, (Again who are they) is ludicrous and just plain stupid...

We have a high deficit, but a great economy and statistically everyone is living a better standard of living now than ever before... Plenty of links if you look..

We are at War, and that always causes a high deficit.... Hillary is a Socialist as has been proven on this site more times than I can count... She wants to punish everyone that wants to succeed..Make enough money and she will quote:"Take their profits"

As usual this has turned into a "Ron Paul" thread. Why does it seem that no matter what the topic or intent of the OP in this forum, it always ends up as a "Why do you hate RP" thread???

I agree with Semper that while a lot of Ron Pauls ideas are interesting, one of the main reason I could never support him are his fanatical followers. You and others claim that people never back up why they don't support RP, but on the same token no one ever explains to me why they do like him.

All I hear from Paul supporters is how evil the other candidates are. That hardly makes him any better than anyone else to me.

To get back to the subject of Mitt Romney:

Mainstream Mormons (Latter Day Saints) actually don't believe in polygamy, and haven't for at least a century. A few isolated sects still practice it, but they are not recognized by the church.

I'm neither a Mormon nor a Romney supporter, but if you're going to attack someone on their religious beliefs (and I don't think you should) at least get your facts straight. When John F. Kennedy was elected many people said a Catholic could never be president. We've come a long way since then. Let's not go backwards.
