Polished Slate Culture of New York

Here are a few personal finds of the Polished Slate culture from New York, a couple of Adz, (wood-working tool's), and 3 gorget's,(ornaments). The Polished Slate culture, is assoicated with the Mound Builder's(Adena) and their relic's have been found over the entire state, Late Archaic to Late Woodland, 3000-1200bp.. Key artifact's of their Culture is a use of highly polished black slate, and well made stemmed points, during a time period where most other Cultures used what was at hand and workmanship was secondary.
