Does the US have a hand in the "emergency rule" in Georgia and Pakistan?

It's my gut feeling that the US administration is behind the oppressive "state of emergency" rule in Georgia and Pakistan.

Georgian President Saakashvili has repeatedly stressed that he will not resign and said he intends to run for re-election.

"I, as the leader of this nation, need your mandate to cope with any external threat, to manage any pressure and to do away with an attempt to annex Georgia's territory," he said.

That sounds familiar. Pakistan's president Musharaf has stated the same.

Are they puppets of the Bush administration and is W and Cheney watching the response closely in order to stage a police state during the US elections next year? Could Bush use the terrorist threat to take military control?

This is really scary......

,,,,,,,suspending the Constitution, blacking out all independent television news reports and filling the streets of the capital with police officers and soldiers.
