Turkey to launch north Iraq military operation before winter

ANKARA, November 14 (RIA Novosti) - The Turkish army is to launch a cross-border operation against Kurdish militants in northern Iraq before 'weather conditions worsen,' local media quoted the Turkish president as saying on Wednesday.

Major military expeditions like these will cause more violence in Iraq, creating a ripple effect of chaos in the Middle East. Literally, Turkey is putting our troops in greater danger.

Whose side are we really on in this issue? PKK? Turkey? We support Turkey as a NATO ally, but I read an article somewhere that said we supported the PKK for fighting insurgents from Iran.
