Some will argue this isn't a 'true' mental illness, I don't know, flashbacks of war seem pretty awful and troops complaining of this should be discharged, as they could be unprepared for combat. Plus, it's a military policy, proves how short-handed the military is.

Actually, it proves to me how little the government cares about our troops.

They will do ANYTHING for this stupid war-for-profit, including sending mentally broken troops back to the front lines.

It's a disgrace how the troops (since Korea and Vietnam) have been treated like nothing but sheep sent to slaughter.

I am watching a programme on tv at the moment here in UK, called "Forgotten heroes: The Not Dead".

All about PTSD and how it has affected soldiers throughout various conflicts. Not a nice watch.

Two weeks ago i was talking with a a welfare officer from the UK's Combat Stress agency who said that there are soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan who are being given treatment for PTSD in the middle of the combat. Not prevention......treatment.

The lengths the powers that be will go to in order to keep the numbers up over there is disgusting.

Don't u have enough troops there? Since you are warlike people, you should put up a military draft, and simply force sane people in the war. They are going to do it anyway soon, so why not start now.
